Two Problems Regarding Sickness Karma
(Minghui.org) I'v recently noticed a few problems among practitioners in our area regarding sickness karma. How can we righteously regard it?
When a practitioner has sickness karma in our area, the news spreads fast among other practitioners, and everyone wants to visit him or her. But many practitioners make unnecessary comments instead of just helping. Their thoughts are often negative, and sometimes cause the practitioner to become more worried, and the sickness karma to worsen.
Many practitioners offer to help, but some believe that they have cultivated better. This kind of mentality conceals a deep-rooted jealousy and a validation of self. In actuality, practitioners have Master and Dafa to look after them.
A Righteous Starting Point
We should have a righteous starting point to help others overcome sickness karma. When I go to visit another practitioner in their home, I go with the purpose of cultivating with the other practitioner. When I encounter unrighteous elements, I look within, cultivate myself, and attempt to return to my true nature. This is the only way that I can help other practitioners.
The starting point of just “helping the other practitioner” is looking at the situation from the outside, rather than looking within. If the starting point isn't correct, the other practitioners will be moved and view situations with human notions. They won't be able to return to their true selves, and the sickness karma may persist for a long time and cause losses. Isn't this creating more trouble for Master, presenting ourselves with more obstacles, and preventing us from elevating?
This is my personal understanding. Please compassionately point out any shortcomings on my part.
