(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liang Yuansheng and Mr. Zhu Shixiong were illegally arrested almost a month ago and have been detained ever since.

Mr. Liang

Mr. Liang was on his way out the door to visit his hometown in the country on the afternoon of September 19, 2017, when police officers and neighborhood committee members showed up and forced him back into his house. They searched it without a warrant.

When his wife returned home around 5:00 p.m. and saw what was happening, she challenged the police on their unlawful conduct. She told them the facts about Falun Gong, advising them not to aid and abet the evildoers, but they ignored her.

When she tried to stop them from taking her Dafa books, Zheng Yingbiao, head of Guandu Police Station, snarled, “Get out! Don't get in the way of official business!”

Mr. Liang's wife said, “You are being unreasonable. This is my home, and you, who are in charge of enforcing the law, are breaking it. You must not take my books, or you will suffer retribution.”

“I couldn't care less!” responded Zheng as he took Mr. Liang away by force. They also confiscated a number of personal belongs, including a notebook computer and a portrait of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong.

Mr. Liang's neighbors could not understand why the authorities would take away such a nice person. His wife explained that they had not done anything wrong by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and that it was the communist party that has been persecuting innocent people.

Mr. Liang is being held in Maoming No. 1 Detention Center.

His arrest has caused enormous hardship for his family, because he is their primary breadwinner.

Mr. Zhu

Mr. Liang's wife asked Mr. Zhu Shixiaong, another practitioner, to come with her to the local police station to bring breakfast to her husband on the morning of September 20. When they got there, Mr. Zhu asked the police about Mr. Liang's arrest. A young officer told them that Mr. Liang had been transferred to Maoming No. 1 Detention Center overnight.

When Mr. Zhu later returned to his appliance repair shop, he found over a dozen police officers and members of the neighborhood committee waiting for him. They arrested Mr. Zhu, and searched and ransacked his home. They confiscated a box of Dafa books and a computer.

Mr. Zhu, 55, is well respected in the local area for being very skillful at repairing home appliances and also being very kind. He charges a fair price and often makes repairs for free for those who cannot pay.

His wife has been extremely anxious since his arrest.

Poor Police Conduct

Mr. Liang's wife and Mr. Zhu's wife went to the Domestic Division of Maoming Police Department on September 30 to demand the release of their husbands. They met with political instructor Wu Chuji, who turned them away. He also tried to avoid legal liability by telling them to contact the local police station.

Mr. Liang's wife went to the Guandu Poice Station on October 3 with a letter clarifying the truth. She told the officer on duty that she wanted to see the head of the station to give him a letter. The officer opened the letter, read a few lines, and got nasty. He slandered Falun Gong and refused to listen to her, claiming that they had arrested many Falun Gong practitioners in addition to her husband.

When Mr. Liang's wife left the police station, she noticed that the tires of her electric bike had been damaged. She remembered seeing a police officer walking around her bike earlier.

Members of the local neighborhood committee continue to harass Mr. Zhu's wife at home.
