Additional Persecution News from China – September 11, 2017 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhalantun City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Shuzhi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Shuzhi was arrested at home by officers from the Zhalantun City Police Department around August 24, 2017.

2. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yucui from Tuanjie Village, Henanzhai Town, Miyun District was arrested and taken to the Chaoyang District Detention Center by several officers from the Miyun District 610 Office and the Henanzhai Police Station on June 27, 2017. The detention center refused to accept her due to her medical examination results. She returned home that day.

Ms. Zhou Guiqin and Ms. Zhou Yuzhi from Ganhechang Village, Henanzhai Town were harassed by officers on the morning of May 10, 2017. Ms. Zhou Guiqin was arrested and taken to the detention center. She was released before daybreak at around 2 a.m. for health reasons.

Ms. Yin Shuqing, 69, was arrested on May 4, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She has not yet been released.

3. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Xiujie Detained

Five or six officers from the Kaiyuan Police Station broke into Ms. Zhou Xiujie's home in Mofan Village, Kaiyuan Town on the morning of September 6, 2017. They detained Ms. Zhou and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Hu Shengchen Detained

Mr. Hu Shengchen from Dapo Town, Yushu City was arrested at home on September 7, 2017. He was detained for 10 days.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Huayu Detained

Ms. Huang Huayu from the Tangjiasi area in Qingbaijiang District was arrested by officers from the Tangjiasi Police Station on September 9, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is held in the Qingbaijiang Detention Center.

6. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Wu Xiaohong Arrested

Ms. Wu Xiaohong was arrested at work by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Saybagh District and Shuimogou District on September 9, 2017. The officers pried open the door of the company where she worked.

7. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Suhua Detained

Ms. Shi Suhua was arrested by officers from the Beijinglu Police Station on August 30, 2017. She is held in the Huai'an City Detention Center.

8. [Fuping County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Yuyun Arrested

Ms. Jin Yuyun, about 50, was arrested and her home ransacked on September 7, 2017.

9. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Officers including Zhang Lixin from the Longhe Police Station, Anci District broke into and ransacked several practitioners' homes in Gaomeng Village on September 4, 2017. The practitioners are Ms. Sun Wenping, Mr. Guo Shuxin, Ms. Wang Guizhi, Ms. Liu Naifen, Ms. Li Yujing, and Ms. Zhang Xiucun.

The officers confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, a copy of Minghui Weekly, and a small sound recorder from Ms. Li Yujing's home. They confiscated a printer from Ms. Zhang Xiucun's. The following morning, the officers returned to Ms. Zhang Xiucun's home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Xiuying Given a One-Year-and-Nine-Month Prison Term

Ms. Wang Xiuying from the Shimahe area of Jiangbei District was arrested by officers from the Longshan Police Station in Yubei District in July 2016. She remains detained. She was tried by the Yubei District Court on April 10, 2017 and sentenced on September 1 to one year and nine months in prison.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Da Detained

Mr. Li Da was released from a brainwashing center in early 2017. He was recently arrested again. His family was told that he is held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

12. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. He Hua Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Hua, 54, was arrested and taken to the Yu'an Police Station on August 7, 2017. Her home was ransacked that day. She was transferred, after 15 days of detention, to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center, where she remains in custody.

13. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fan Xuebin Given a Second Eight-Year Prison Term

Mr. Fan Xuebin was arrested by officers from the Zhanqian District Police Department and the Xinxing Police Station on June 28, 2016. He has been held in the Yingkou City Detention Center for over 14 months. After two hearings at the Zhanqian District Court, he was recently given a second eight-year prison term.

Mr. Fan had previously been imprisoned from June 2007 to January 28, 2015.
