(Minghui.org) Speaking to others about Falun Dafa was difficult for me. I knew it was because of fear. I had been practicing Dafa for 20 years but it was not until 2008 that I stepped out to clarify the facts to others. I was okay with talking to people one on one, but crowds scared me. The following is how I overcame this attachment to fear.

Facing Discrimination at Work

I was elected by my company to attend the Municipal Union Worker Conference in 2013. My admission, however, was refused because I practice Falun Dafa. I realized that this was discrimination and a type of persecution as well.

We are encouraged by Master to clarify the facts whenever there is a problem. I decided I should speak to my team members at our next morning meeting. My fear stemmed from being illegally arrested many times in the past. I struggled with talking to people, especially groups. But this was a great opportunity for exposing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and saving people. I was determined!

I was feeling queasy the next morning, and when some team members did not show up, I backed out. The following day my heart was still racing, and I didn't know how to face my colleagues.

I said to myself: “Why are you scared? Is it a matter of life and death? This fear is not the true me! I must let it go!”

I calmed down and began to explain to them how I was rejected because I practice Falun Dafa. My human rights and the right to be elected had been violated because of my beliefs.

I then explained how atheism had led to a decline in morality and the deterioration of society. I said that there are consequences for people's actions, and everyone will be responsible for their mistreatment of Falun Dafa practitioners. I used the example of how the Roman empire collapsed because they persecuted Christians.
My audience appeared receptive and sympathetic. I had no fear and, afterward, felt relaxed. I had made a breakthrough!

A large re-organization was announced in my company an hour later, and five of my team members were to be transferred. I was so glad that I was able to clarify the truth to them before they left.

I had another opportunity to tell the facts to a large group about a year later. All my co-workers learned the truth about Falun Dafa. They also understood the nature of the CCP and that ordinary citizens were subjected to persecution as well. I completely let go of my attachment to fear, acted in an upright and righteous manner, and safeguarded the dignity of Dafa. My work environment grew to become very harmonious.
