(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Xiu Tortured in Prison

Ms. Chen Xiu was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison and now is imprisoned in the No. 6 Ward of Benxi Prison. She has been repeatedly held in a solitary confinement cell and beaten, which resulted in physical problems.

2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Shouhui, Ms. Jin Fengzhi, and Ms. Xu Ping were sentenced by the Xinfu District Court on July 11, 2016, to four years, thee-and-a-half years, and two years in prison, respectively.

They were arrested by Peng Yue and other officers from the Fushun Domestic Security Division on April 24, 2015, and were taken to the Fushun Detention Center.

Ms. Yu Yanli was arrested by police officers from the Daoyi Police Station on July 7, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Shenyang City Detention Center.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Four practitioners were arrested by officers from the Maoershan Police Station on February 18, 2016. They are Ms. Liu Shuxiang, Ms. Fan Shuying, Ms. Chen Chunling, and Mr. Huang Xinxin. They were each sentenced to a three-year prison term in early July by the Shangzhi City Court.

5. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiao Yan and Ms. Jin Ana Detained

Ms. Jiao Yan was arrested on June 9, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong on the train.

Ms. Jin Ana, in her 70s, was arrested on July 10, 2016, for distributing informational brochures about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Both are detained in the Panjin No. 3 Detention Center.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ye Changqing's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Ye Changqing, a practitioner from Shenyang City, left for Dehui City on June 13, 2016, for a business trip. He was arrested and his whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Ping, Ms. Sun Yuping, and Mr. Gao Zhensheng were recently arrested by officers from the Laizhou City Domestic Security Division. Ms. Sun is detained in the Dianzi Brainwashing Center and the other two practitioners were taken to the Laizhou City Detention Center.

8. [Chongqing] Five Practitioners Arrested and Whereabouts of Three are Unknown

Five practitioners were arrested on July 11, 2016. They are Ms. Tang Mei, Mr. Nie Minghua, Mr. Xie Zhizhong, Ms. Tan Dafen, and Mr. Wen Bangyu. Two of them are detained in Yuzhong District No. 1 Detention Center and the whereabouts of three are unknown.

9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Huo Caijuan, Ms. Wang Yinlou, and Ms. Huo Suying Arrested

Ms. Huo Caijuan, Ms. Wang Yinlou, and Ms. Huo Suying were arrested by officers from the Lizhuang Town Comprehensive Management Office. They were released an hour later.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Dong Shouzhu Imprisoned

Mr. Dong Shouzhu was tried and sentenced to a three-and-a-half year prison term by the Fengnan District Court on July 3, 2016. He was transferred to the Nanbao Prison on May 17.

Mr. Dong was arrested by officers from the Xugezhuang Police Station, Fengnan District, in September 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Fengnan District Detention Center.

11. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Sun Guozhen was arrested on July 12, 2016.

12. [Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Hanming's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Liu Hanming was arrested by officers from the Jiagedaqi Police Department on June 30, 2016. He was held in the Jiagedaqi Detention Center for 15 days.

His family went to the detention center to pick him up on July 14. However, officers from the Dongshan Police Station had already picked him up. His whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Nanping City, Fujian Province] Ms. Hu Liyu and Ms. Wang Ying Arrested

Ms. Hu Liyu was arrested by officers from the Nanping City Domestic Security Division on June 14, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, cell phones, and other personal items.

Ms. Wang Ying was also arrested and her home was ransacked on the same day.

14. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Guiyan Detained

Ms. Zhang Guiyan was arrested by officers from the Zhujiangdao Police Station on July 14, 2016. She was held in the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center for 15 days.

15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yuanling Detained

Ms. Li Yuanling was arrested on July 5, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

16. [Chongqing] Ms. Hua Jindi Detained

Ms. Hua Jindi was arrested by officers from the Xiaonanhai Town 610 Office and the local police station on June 27, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained in the Shanmuya Brainwashing Center, Qianjiang District, for seven days.

17. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Mo Yexin Detained

Ms. Mo Yexin was arrested on May 23, 2016. She is detained in a brainwashing center.

18. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Hong and Ms. Li Jin Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Hong and Ms. Li Jin, kindergarten employees, were arrested at their workplace on July 11, 2016. Their whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Chen Dewan Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Chen Dewan was arrested on January 27, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime. He was held in the Xishui Detention Center for seven days.

20. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang] Ms. Yang Jing and Ms. Wang Xiaoying Sentenced

Ms. Yang Jing was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Shihezi City Court on July 8, 2016.

Ms. Wang Xiaoying was sentenced to a three-and-a-half year prison term by the Shihezi City Court on July 13, 2016.

Ms. Guan Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Yuying were arrested and their homes were ransacked in early July 2016.

22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Longgui Detained

Mr. Zhang Longgui, 70, was arrested by Ni Mingchang, director, and officers from the Youai Town 610 Office, on July 12, 2016. He was taken to the Pi County Detention Center.
