Master Protects Us During Tribulations

(Minghui.org) I am 74 years old and began to practice Falun Gong in March 1999. I experienced many tribulations, but with Master’s protection, I came through all of them without incurring any harm.

Fighting Imprisonment

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, my daughter and I kept practicing the exercises at the local playground.

“Falun Gong is very good,” I thought, “and it is better than any other exercise, and it does not bother anyone. So, why can’t I practice it? If someone can give me a good reason to stop practicing in public, then I will do the exercises at home.” Thus, I practiced at the local playground for six years.

Local practitioners were arrested in 2006 for practicing Falun Gong in public. A dozen practitioners were taken to forced labor camps and four were given prison terms.

I was also arrested for practicing Falun Gong and though I defended myself in court, and pleaded innocent, I was given a three year prison term. After being sentenced, I appealed to a higher level court.

I did not think I was guilty, and continued doing what a Falun Gong practitioner is supposed to do.

With the excuse that I had not written a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong, my work unit held my retirement check and only paid me 750 yuan each month. I thought it was economic persecution from the old forces and that I ought to deny it. I decided to talk to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members, as well as the city mayor.

Battle Between Good and Evil

I began waiting to talk to the CCP members at 6:00 a.m. and was No. 23 in line, while another person from my hometown was No. 12. Surprisingly, I was called in before the person with the No. 12.

About 50 government officials sat in the room, including the head of the 610 Office and other CCP members. Normally, there were only three or four people in the room.

I had no fear and sat opposite the city mayor. I asked him why my retirement salary was being held by the education bureau. The procuratorate department head said that Falun Gong was a cult. I asked him to show me the law that said that Falun Gong was a cult. He was speechless.

The city mayor said he disliked the principals “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” which I had mentioned in my reports. I asked the mayor which one of the three words was not good? All the others said that the three words were all good.

The 610 Office person commented on the fact that practitioners have said that the CCP is doomed by heaven, and they have been asking people to quit the CCP and its youth organizations, which was in opposition to the CCP. I said we simply ask people to quit the Party to stay safe.

The city mayor finally said that they would return my retirement salary. I received my full salary and the portion that had been withheld for over two years, which amounted to over 40,000 yuan.

Some government officials visited me and I talked to them about Falun Gong. As a result, I gained their support.

Officials Take Practitioners’ Words to Heart

The day when I had spoken with the mayor and other officials I had prepared many Dafa posters with sticky backing to be hung up in our town . My daughter and I sent forth righteous thoughts at 12:00 a.m. and then left to put up the posters along the four major streets in our town. There were many video cameras on the street, but wewere not seen on any of them.

About three weeks later, the police station head, the county mayor, and another 20 people came to my house. They ransacked it and found one of the same posters in my house and tried to make my daughter tear it apart.

My daughter told them that they had better not do that or they would face retribution. She also did not allow them to confiscate Master’s photograph hanging on the wall, and refused to go to the police station. They took me to the police station instead.

The county mayor questioned me about where I had obtained the posters. I told them that I better not to tell them, because I did not want them to do bad deeds.

Master told us:

“If upon encountering trying circumstances your thinking can be truly righteous, then, when faced with the evil's persecution and when faced with interference, just one sentence of yours fortified with steadfast righteous thoughts can instantly make the evil disintegrate (applause), and it will make those who are being used by the evil turn and flee, it will make the evil's persecution of you dissolve, and it will make the evil's interfering with you disappear without a trace.” (Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference)

Impact of Suing Jiang Zemin

I mailed my lawsuit documents against Jiang Zemin, the former CCP dictator, to the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Supreme People's Court, and other central government offices in June 2015. I received confirmation that they had received my documents two days later.

The school principal questioned me about my lawsuit in early July 2015. I told him that it was my right to sue Jiang and it had nothing to do with the school.

The school CCP secretary told me that he had to go to meetings to report about me every day, so he ran out of time and could not do his work. I told him that I could go to the meetings next time. After that, no one asked him to report on me, and he was not called into any additional meetings.

The county government officials also came to talk to me, as well as the Domestic Security Division captain. They asked me to sign my name on a letter which called Falun Gong a cult and repeated that I was wrong to file a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.

I told them Falun Gong was a cultivation practice based on the Buddha-school and that what I wrote in the lawsuit document against Jiang was true.

The police corrected the letter according to what I said. The captain left with his team without forcing me to sign my name.

I fully understand from my dozen years of cultivation that my personal safety originates from the Fa. Only when we have unyielding trust in Master, believe in the Fa 100 percent, and look within at every turn, will Master be beside us all the time and help us get through every tribulation.
