On Being Rational in Clarifying the Truth

(Minghui.org) I recently noticed several practitioners not being rational in their cultivation or in clarifying the truth, such as bringing suspicious people to our group Fa study, preparing clothes and banners to celebrate the end of the persecution, and distributing Dafa materials in ways that damage our image.

Bringing Suspicious People to Group Fa Study

A female practitioner met a man who claimed that he wanted to learn Falun Dafa. He said he was from another city, was divorced, and made a living selling wine. The practitioner immediately gave him Falun Dafa books.

Then the man said he wanted to join the small group Fa study. Out of security concerns, the local coordinator told her not to bring him for the time being, but she insisted, saying, “Even if he were a spy, Master would save him. A coordinator may not be a good cultivator. We are all coordinators.”

Despite the local coordinator’s objection, she brought the man to the small group Fa study. Soon after that, the police raided the Fa study location twice. Fortunately the Fa study time was changed, so the police did not find anyone there.

A veteran practitioner visited the man’s home to see if he was indeed in the wine business. There was not a single bottle of wine in his home. The man said that all the bottles were in a warehouse. When asked to see the warehouse, the man replied, “They’ve all been sold.” Finally, he admitted that he lied: “I do not sell wine, nor am I divorced. I fled to this city to avoid paying a debt that I owe in my hometown.”

The man then asked the female practitioner if he could attend the big group Fa study.

Even after knowing that he lied, she insisted on bringing him to the big group Fa study, saying, “The Fa rectification has reached such an extent that there is no more evil. We should save the spies.”

Is it true that there is no more evil? Then why are so many practitioners still getting arrested? We must be rational and responsible for the safety of the whole group.

Banners and Uniforms to Celebrate the End of the Persecution

Recently, some practitioners have started to believe that the Fa rectification will end soon, so they are making uniforms and banners to do the exercises in public and to welcome Master back to China. The banners are 15 feet by 3 feet, with messages like “Practitioners in XYZ City Welcome Master Back.” The characters were embroidered and looked very exquisite. Some practitioners have started to remodel their houses for Master to live in after he comes back to China.

This is a waste of our time and resources. We should be focusing on truth clarification to save more people by doing the three things according to Master’s instructions.

Distributing Dafa Materials Inappropriately

Some practitioners are so eager to distribute more truth-clarification materials that they do not pay enough attention to the outcomes. I have removed stickers that say “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” from the ground. Think about everyday people stepping on them. Aren’t they committing a crime because of practitioners’ irrational behavior?

Some practitioners put up truth-clarification stickers on bathroom walls. Some threw a thick stack of truth-clarification materials on the side of the road, hoping that people would pick them up. Sometimes, truth-clarification posters were not carefully adhered to the wall, so the wind easily blew them off. Maybe these practitioners did these things out of fear or wanted to finish the job quickly. But doing things this way tarnishes Falun Dafa’s image.

Doing more Dafa work cannot replace solid cultivation. I hope my article can remind fellow practitioners to be careful and thoughtful when they clarify the truth, to minimize loss and damage.
