(Minghui.org) May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day. Around this time, our local Falun Dafa practitioners went out to put up posters and hang Falun Dafa banners. The posters explained how the Chinese Communist Party has persecuted Falun Dafa. Here I'd like to share several touching stories that happened while we were busy with our work.
"Don't Tear It Down!"
I put up a poster on a public bulletin board calling for bringing Jiang Zemin (the former Chinese dictator who launched the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999) to justice. I had just finished posting it when a girl came by to read it. It was a large poster for the spot, and I decided to move it. I took it down and was trying to put it back up when I heard a male voice shouting behind me, “Hey! Don't tear it down!” The man rushed out from his yard and headed over to read the poster.
"Falun Dafa Is Good!"
People like to take leisurely walks along the river. Other practitioners and I were busy hanging up banners that read “Falun Dafa is Good!” “ The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance!” Those beautiful banners waved in the breeze.
Suddenly a voice shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” A young man came over with a smile. I greeted him with “Falun Dafa is good! Are you from the Northeast? The people from the Northeast region are very lucky. My Master is from that region.” Two of his friends were walking with him. He said proudly, “There are many Falun Dafa practitioners in our area.” Then he told us how his company had tried to prevent practitioners from appealing for Falun Dafa after the persecution started. His two friends and I listened to him attentively. After he was done, I then told them how Falun Dafa has spread all around the world.
While we were talking one practitioner was sending forth righteous thoughts from a distance. He told me the next morning, “I had a dream that we hung up the banners by the river. I saw shining colorful lights coming from the banners we had put up. They illuminated the dark sky. It was so beautiful! Master was encouraging us!”
People Who Have Righteous Thoughts
I went back to the bulletin boards along the river to place new posters calling for bringing Jiang Zemin to justice. Right after I glued the first poster in place, people surrounded it and started to read it. I took a picture with my cell phone to capture this precious moment.
I walked along the river to another bulletin board and was ready to post the second poster. A middle-aged man looked at me and said, “Stick it up faster!” I smiled at him as I added more glue to the poster. I truly admire the righteous thoughts of people who know the truth about Falun Dafa!
While I was explaining the persecution to two women, a middle-aged man walking a dog came over to read the poster. Not realizing I had put it up, the man said to me, “Did you see this?” Then he rushed over and tried to tear down the poster.
I stopped him using my arms, and said, “What you want to do is so foolish!”
The man took out his cell phone and started to call police. I said, “Calling the police does not help. The police here do not bother with anything related to Falun Dafa anymore.”
One of the women stopped the man and said, “Why bother? Go ahead and take your walk.” The man still muttered something and wanted to call the police. The woman said to me, “Ignore him! He is so foolish.” They pulled me along with them. When we reached the road crossing I thanked the two women and wished them well. I reminded them to always remember, “Falun Dafa is good.”
