(Minghui.org) San Francisco Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to take part in the 76th Posy Day Parade in the nearby city of San Bruno on June 5. The Divine Land Marching Band was well received by the spectators and was awarded a special prize.

“They Have Made My Day”
Mel Philips, organizer of the hour-long parade, brought together dozens of groups for a diverse and colorful celebration. He said of the Falun Dafa contingent, “Among them, the Divine Land Marching Band is unique. The bright colors and energetic music is just amazing!”

Mel heard about the band about just a month ago and was impressed by its excellent performance in other community events. “I am so happy they accepted the invitation and made it here today. They have made my day and I hope they will come again next year.”
Highlight of the Event
San Bruno resident Carmen said that the Falun Dafa practitioners' performance was the highlight of the event. “They are so talented, and the music is just wonderful!” she exclaimed. She also noticed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance on the banner. “I like those very much,” she said, smiling.

Another resident, Ron Chavez agreed. “This is the best band I have ever seen,” he enthused. He was impressed by the high professional level and beautiful melodies produced by the band.
Spectator Delina said that the band lit up people's spirit. “From the time they took the musical instruments from the truck, I could see the positive energy in the band members.” She also found the traditional costumes inspiring because she believes that it is important for people to maintain traditional values.

“I Will Tell More People about This”
Sherry Chin and Cynthia said they appreciate Falun Dafa because of the meditation and the practice's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “We are glad to see them here and hope they will come again next year.”

Spectator Silvia said that this was the first time she'd heard the Divine Land Marching Band. “I like the the music, the colors, and everything about the band,” she said. She added that she felt bad about the persecution in China, stating that everyone should have freedom of belief.
Julie Calleja also enjoyed the music. She said that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are important and that “they also apply to us in this city.” Julie hopes that the suppression in China will end soon. She felt that she learned a lot about Falun Dafa from the pamphlets distributed by practitioners. “I will tell more people about this and I know they will appreciate it too,” she said.
