The Importance of Distributing the Minghui Human Rights Report on Organ Harvesting
(Minghui.org) Minghui Human Rights Report: Falun Gong Practitioners Systematically Murdered in China for Their Organs, a 98-page document on organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China, was recently published on the Minghui website.
Considering its comprehensive coverage and in-depth reporting, we have distributed over 2,000 copies in our local area to let more people know about these atrocities. Since some practitioners in other areas have yet to do so. I would like to share my thoughts on this.
This document details many cases of organ harvesting. For example, Chapter X carries the story from the South Wind Window magazine in 2007 that tells of a beggar by the name of Tong Gefei who had five of his organs removed at a deserted electrical power substation, including his liver, spleen, pancreas, and both kidneys.
In Chapter XI, a female Falun Gong practitioner, a middle school teacher in her 30s, had her organs extracted while she was still alive. This practitioner had been brutally beaten and repeatedly raped before she was taken for organ harvesting.
Presenting these cases to the public will help raise awareness of the severe human rights abuses.
There are a large number of cases reported, with times and locations, as well as statistical data and recorded interviews. It reveals how military hospitals and other hospitals systematically participate in organ harvesting.
Many Chinese are aware of the Party's brutality, but few are clear on the darkest of the regime's crimes—killing innocent Falun Gong practitioners for their organs. We need to let more people know about this, to end these atrocities and help Chinese people distance themselves from the Chinese Communist Party.
Practitioners have spent a lot of time and effort over the past over 10 years collecting evidence to make this report possible. Bloody Harvest: Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China, a book by David Matas and David Kilgour published in 2009, has also helped to contribute to this report.
The persecution of Falun Gong has been going on for 17 years and still continues, partly because many people are unaware of the vicious deeds the communist party has committed.
This report may be more suitable for academics and researchers, and will help more people learn about forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners.
I hope practitioners will read the report before giving it out, as it will give us more confidence in talking about organ harvesting and help us explain the content to others.
