(Minghui.org) After five US House Representatives, two US Senators, and the Mayor of Houston sent greetings to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, three Texas State representatives, the second largest state in the US, issued proclamations to honor the 17th annual Dafa Day celebration.
Texas State Senator Rodney Ellis and his proclamation in honor of Falun Dafa Day
Rodney Ellis, State Senator for Texas' 13th State Senate District, noted in his proclamation, “The art of Falun Dafa is based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance, and the practice of Falun Dafa reduces stress while improving overall mental and physical health...” and, “...the Senate of the State of Texas hereby commend all who have worked to bring the ancient practice of Falun Dafa to Texas and extend best wishes to practitioners for memorable World Falun Dafa Day celebrations.”

Hubert Vo, Member of the Texas House of Representatives for House District 14, wrote that since being first introduced to the public in 1992 by its founder, Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa has transcended cultural boundaries to touch the lives of followers in more than 70 countries.
“Every year, supporters from all walks of life gather together for World Falun Dafa Day, celebrating the beauty of Falun Dafa, the spirit of its principles, and the efforts of practitioners fighting for their human rights in response to persecution from the Chinese Communist Party”.

Currently serving her fourth term representing District 126, Texas House Representative Patricia Harless commended Falun Dafa for helping “...countless Texans to lead healthier, less stressful lives by working to improve their health, purify their mind, and uplift their spirit.”
Representative Harless further announced “That May 13, 2016, be recognized as World Falun Dafa Day and that all practitioners be extended sincere best wishes for a meaningful observance.”
