(Minghui.org) I recently saw some scenes in another dimension that helped me to have a deeper understanding of several things.
First, I saw a dark line appear in the sky that seemed to separate the universe into two parts, good and bad. I vaguely saw many bad things in the bad part.
I realized that this was showing me that there are both positive and negative factors in the universe, a reflection of the universal law of mutual inhibition and mutual generation. It was just as Master told us:
“You all know that both good and bad beings exist in the universe. Where there are Buddhas, there are demons. Where there are positive gods, there are negative gods. They are opposites of one another because they are inevitable outcomes of the universe.” (Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference)
When it manifests in the human world, it is a person’s Buddha-nature versus his or her human nature. The stronger the person's human side, the weaker his divine side.
Master taught us:
“The same applies to human beings, who possess Buddha-nature and demon-nature at the same time. What one does without moral obligations and constraints is of demon-nature. Cultivating Buddhahood is to eliminate your demon-nature and strengthen and increase your Buddha-nature.” (“Buddha-Nature and Demon-Nature,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
A cultivator should nurture his Buddha-nature. His cultivation environment can also strengthen him. If a tree leans to one side, we can prop it up with a post to straighten it. A healthy environment can help a cultivator exhibit more of his divine nature.
Moreover, the dark line showed me that there are still a lot of bad things in the universe. As they reflect down to lower levels and eventually to the human world, these bad things impact humans’ thoughts and actions, and even affect cultivators.
Master said,
“As it turns out, the persecution that Dafa disciples have faced in their cultivation is a display in human society of the intense reactions that positive and negative beings have had amidst the cosmos’s re-formation.” ("20th Anniversary Fa Teaching" from Teaching the Fa at the Conference XI)
I felt that one bad influence on cultivators is that some people only cultivate at the surface level and only do things for show, ignoring the important work that doesn’t get noticed.
Then I saw in the other dimension that many cultivators on the bright or the righteous side start walking towards the dark line. Some of them said, “I can't succeed in cultivation, but I can be a good person! Many of us can be good people!”
Two other practitioners and I tried to stop them and asked them to return to the bright side. They wouldn't listen and started talking about how much better they cultivated than other practitioners. Some even pushed one practitioner to the ground.
Three of us asked for Master's help.
Immediately, one of them said, “It’s a dead end down this road.”
But others said, “Don't listen to him. Let's keep going.”
As they continued, fire and lightning appeared in front of them. Some hesitated. A thunderstorm came up. They retreated, crying and screaming.
Still someone said, “Let's find another path and get around it.”
Thunder started to roll in. Some people fell into holes. Some turned back and started walking to the bright side.
Then thugs, representing evil, showed up. They drove those who were weak and children to continue walking to the dark side.
A Dafa cultivator said, “Let's use the wisdom sword to eliminate these thugs.”
A thin stick of bamboo flew to hit that cultivator. We sent a Fa net, a Fa instrument, to capture it.
Some of the weaker ones started awakening. They fought back against the thugs. Some turned around and walked back.
But others still marched toward the dark. Lightning flashed, and a few people fell. It flashed again, and a few more fell. Many people stopped and started to run back.
Then the evil started killing people with knives. Those who were weak and the children were running and hiding. Some fought with the evil. Righteous gods came to help and fought the thugs.
Then it all disappeared.
This made me think that there are still some cultivators who like to follow others. They haven't yet learned to follow their own heart for cultivation and make their own decisions.
These scenes told me that, as the final leg of Fa-rectification unfolds, our divine side must be strong. We don't want to be dragged down by the negative forces, nor do we want to blindly walk over to the dark side. We must walk righteously. We also need to work together as a whole body to create a good environment which will, in turn, strengthen our divine side.
