(Minghui.org) I would like to solemnly withdraw all the bad words that I said and wrote about Falun Gong and its founder. I offer my deep apologies to Falun Gong and Master Li.
I initially supported the Falun Gong practitioners' efforts opposing the persecution, as I was sympathetic toward them. I was later suspected of being a spy, and started to have negative thoughts toward them. I then attacked Falun Gong and the founder Master Li with emotional words and irresponsible language. I now truly regret what I did.
I was a reporter working for the Guilin TV Station in Guangxi. In 2001 I helped a colleague, a Falun Gong practitioner, download information from the Internet using my personal computer. I was arrested and imprisoned for this. I was rescued after my family bought a forged certificate stating that I had a mental problem. I was dismissed from my job as a result of the incident.
I understand the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) system and its crimes. I used the pen name “Veteran Party Member” and posted articles on Big Reference, an online magazine hosted by Chinese dissidents outside of China since 2000. I bought a new computer after I was released from jail in 2003. I posted many articles criticizing the CCP and exposing Party officials' crimes using the pen name Ceng Jieming in online media overseas. I won a writing award from Freedom Torch,which was initiated by overseas Chinese democracy advocates in 2008.
I immigrated to the United States five years ago. I have a completely new understanding now toward traditional Chinese culture. Falun Gong is the most active and productive promoter of traditional Chinese culture.
Falun Gong set up Shen Yun Performing Arts and is reviving Chinese traditional culture, including the traditional costumes, etc. It has made a considerable contribution to the restoration of traditional Chinese culture. Falun Gong has made immense contributions to reviving the morality of people in China and toward world peace.
China needs Falun Gong! The world needs Falun Gong!
My criticisms of Falun Gong were completely wrong. It was very prejudiced to oppose Falun Gong and Master Li just because I noticed some shortcomings in certain practitioners.
I wish to be friends with Falun Gong from now on and work together to revive traditional Chinese culture.
