Additional Persecution News from China – March 7, 2016 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Gao Ai Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Gao Ai was arrested by plainclothes officers on March 6, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Wu Yan Arrested

Ms. Wu Yan from the Nankai District was arrested at home on March 4, 2016.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Bao Yan Taken into Custody

Ms. Bao Yan from the Hangu District was arrested on February 6, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated two computers. She is being held in the Hangu Police Station.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wei Min Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wei Min was arrested in late December 2015. His whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhuang Liyun Detained

Ms. Zhuang Liyun, an employee at the Yangmiao Middle School in Gaotang Township, was reported by students to Shen Kerang, principal, for talking about “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” in class. Shen and officers from the local police station arrested her and took her to the Fuyang City Detention House for ten days of detention. Afterwards she was taken to the Fuyang City Detention Center.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yan Jinxin Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Yan Jinxin was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center in early February 2016.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Xuan Enfeng, in her forties; Ms. Teng Xiangshun, in her forties; and Ms. Sun, in her sixties; all from Xinzhuang Town, were arrested at home by officers from the Xinzhuang Town Police Station on March 2, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. They were held in the Zhaoyuan City Detention Center.

8. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Zhonghua and Mr. Wen Xiangmin Detained

Ms. Du Zhonghua from Shilipu Village was arrested at home by officers from the Mengzhi Police Station at noon on March 4, 2016. She was held in the Zhaoyuan Detention Center.

Mr. Wen Xiangmin was arrested by Mengzhi Police Station officers in late February 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. He is now in the Zhaoyuan Detention Center.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Xibao Held in Prison

Mr. Niu Xibao was sentenced to a four-year term in the Shandong Province Prison on February 25, 2016.

10. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Weng Yuzhi Detained

Ms. Weng Yuzhi from Yangmu Township, Qinghe District, was transferred from the Tieling City Detention House to the Tieling City Detention Center on March 2, 2016.

11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Guiping Arrested

Ms. Liu Guiping from Renhe Village, Mengshui Town, Zhoucun District, was arrested by officers from the Wenchanghu Police Department, the Mengshui Town 610 Office, and the Mengshui Town Police Station on March 2, 2016. She has not returned home.

12. [Zoucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guixiang Detained

Ms. Wang Guixiang was arrested on the afternoon of March 4, 2016, by officers from the Gangshan Police Station, for telling people about Falun Gong. She was held in the Zoucheng City Detention Center for 15 days.

13. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. He Xin and Mr. Liu Yunian Arrested

Mr. He Xin and 78-year-old Mr. Liu Yunian, from the No. 1 Oil Extraction Factory in the Sartu District of Daqing City, were arrested by Huizhan Police Department officers on the morning of March 3, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Mr. Liu was released that afternoon. Mr. He was held in the Longfeng Detention Center for 15 days.

Mr. Li Jiucheng was arrested by Zhang Baiming, director of the Morin Dawa Daur Autonomous Banner Domestic Security Division, and other officers on March 4, 2016. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, and a computer. Mr. Li was taken to the Banner's Police Department Detention Center.
