(Minghui.org) From June 2015 to the end of the year, more than 100 Falun Gong practitioners in our company filed criminal complaints against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong.
Under their supervisors' orders, the county Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Domestic Security Division held two large meetings regarding the lawsuits. They then ordered the county police department to visit and harass the Falun Gong practitioners in our company. It was said the director of the county Political and Legal Affairs Committee was very aggressive during the meetings.
Several Falun Gong practitioners in our company were visited by police. The practitioners explained why they had filed lawsuits and refused to sign statements to give up practicing Falun Gong. As a result, many police officers now understand that the persecution of Falun Gong is illegal.
After speaking with practitioners, many officers have said they now respect Falun Gong and remarked that practitioners are conducting themselves according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the foundational principles of the practice.
Afterwards, the other practitioners in our county were briefly asked about their lawsuits by their local community committees or their companies.
Police Officers’ Hearts Touched by a Practitioner
When Falun Gong practitioner Xiaocheng (a pseudonym) went to his office, the company's Domestic Security officers and the Party secretary were waiting for him. An officer asked him, “Did you sue the national leader?”
“I did not sue the national leader. I sued Jiang Zemin,” replied Xiaocheng. “Falun Gong practitioners are good people, but we have been persecuted for 16 years.”
He also told them about how he had been persecuted, and how the police officers who had carried out Jiang Zemin's orders to persecute Falun Gong practitioners have received retribution.
Xiaocheng continued, “So many practitioners’ families have been broken apart and so many practitioners have lost their lives during the past 16 years. Don't you think I should sue Jiang? But, why haven't I sued the police? Because the police are also victims. Suing Jiang gives the police an opportunity to understand the truth, so that they will not participate in the persecution and be saved.”
The party secretary told the police, “Xiaocheng is top-notch in our company: His professionalism, high morals and upright character show that he really is a good person.”
The police asked him to sign a statement, but Xiaocheng refused and said, “I am the plaintiff, and Jiang Zemin is the defendant.”
One of the officers said, “This man follows Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance!” The other officers nodded in agreement.
Party Secretary Takes an Upright Stand
The party secretary of the company where Xiaoxia (a pseudonym) works learned that Domestic Security officers wanted to talk to Xiaoxia. He asked her, “Did you distribute booklets or DVDs about Falun Gong? Why do the Domestic Security officers want to talk to you?”
“I sued Jiang Zemin using my real name and address,” she replied.
The secretary agreed and said, “You should sue him! Look at how badly he's messed up our society!” He then let Xiaoxia go home.
Is there any Hope for China?
Falun Gong practitioner Qinglian (a pseudonym) was summoned by her company's security department. She was told that police planned to arrest her because she had sued Jiang Zemin. Qinglian said, “If they arrest me because I've sued Jiang Zemin, is there any hope for China?! Good people are being persecuted! This is the end of China!”
Hold Jiang Accountable
Two Domestic Security officers entered the home of 37-year-old Chen Wen (a pseudonym). They asked whether she had filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Chen Wen said, “Yes, I did. Falun Gong teaches people to be good. Jiang Zemin ordered that Falun Gong practitioners be persecuted and slandered. His propaganda campaign poisoned millions of people. We Falun Gong practitioners have suffered a lot. Jiang Zemin should be held accountable for his crimes, so I sued him.”
“You Should Sue Him. I Should Sue Him Too!”
Jiang Jie (a pseudonym) is a teacher. A local police officer found him and tried to protect him from being illegally arrested by Domestic Security officers. The local officer said, “They will stop if you cooperate with me and tape a video saying you do not want to sue Jiang Zemin.”
Jiang Jie replied, “If I do what you suggest, it will mean that I've helped you commit a crime.”
One day the school principal asked Jiang Jie, “You sued Jiang Zemin, didn't you?”
“Yes! I did not receive my regular salary for so many years because of the persecution, he replied. I could only find strenuous labor to survive, and I only received 500 yuan per month. Look, how bad my health is now due to the persecution.”
The director was shocked and silent for a while, and he then said, “You should sue him. I should sue him too!”
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
