(Minghui.org) A former online friend came to see me the other day. “We used to chat through instant messaging,” he said. “But I was trapped by the communist ideology and thus scorned your arguments.”
It was eight years ago when we first chatted. He reminded me that I told him about the student unrest on June 4, 1989, and the murderous nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). But at the time, he rebuked me and said that he would report me. He even produced the exact time of our chat: 4:19 p.m. on August 31, 2008.
He continued, “I said that you were against the nation. I was foolish at the time. But I couldn't help myself, since I had been brainwashed from a very young age. I was deeply trapped by the CCP's ideology and couldn't think independently.”
He reminded me that I had told him about software for bypassing internet censorship. Although he disagreed with me then, he installed it. He said he did not use it at first, but got past his own biased notions and soon found it useful.
Dafa 'Brings People Toward Goodness'
As he was not very familiar with Falun Dafa, he was affected when the Party attacked this cultivation practice as an “evil cult.” Yet, he also remembered that when he was young, people around him practiced Falun Dafa. He could see that those people's health and moral character had improved.
He said, “Now I find that traditional Chinese culture is expressed through Dafa. It brings people toward goodness.”
I thanked this friend for sharing his thoughts with me. His confession touched me deeply.
I told him, “Thank you for letting me know about your change of heart. This made me realize that I need to treat those who were deceived by the CCP with even more tolerance and compassion.”
Teacher said,
“However, per the old forces' sinister arrangements, this wicked-Party-perpetrated persecution of the world--and especially of the Chinese people--that was wrought by the old forces so as to supposedly "help Dafa disciples achieve Consummation" is unmatched in its severity. By corrupting people and having them commit sins against Dafa, isn't it pushing the Chinese people towards destruction? Even though it was the old forces that arranged this vile persecution, it is nonetheless on account of Dafa disciples that the Chinese people have endured such disgrace and suffering. So from that perspective, shouldn't you go and save them? Shouldn't Dafa disciples open their hearts wide? Persecutors Live in Fear
I began to practice Falun Dafa in 2000. Since then, I have used the internet to tell people in China about the persecution of Dafa and provided them with otherwise-censored information.
I actually have no specific recollection of this online friend. Over the last 14 years of cultivation, I have told people the facts about Falun Dafa online practically every single day.
Whenever I see that practitioners in mainland China treat their persecutors with kindness and patience, I feel their perseverance and goodness. Their hearts are open and frank. In contrast, the persecutors live in fear and anxiety.
I hope fellow practitioners can truly cultivate, get rid of their attachments, and exhibit more kindness when telling people the facts about the Falun Dafa cultivation practice.
