Hanging Dafa Banners on Chinese New Year's Eve
(Minghui.org) It was another Chinese New Year's Eve and four of us Falun Dafa practitioners wanted to help more people learn the truth behind the persecution of this ancient cultivation practice.
After we finished our chores and thoroughly cleaned our house, a long-standing Chinese tradition, we sent forth righteous thoughts. Then, we took the 40 Falun Dafa banners we had prepared for display in the streets and headed out the door around 6 p.m.
We split into pairs to hang the banners on utility poles. While hanging banners, we continued to send forth righteous thoughts until we finished just before 8 p.m.
We shared our thoughts on our way home, and remembered what our teacher, Master Li, said,
“Even if you think your idea is great, and can save a hundred people, if you don’t carry it out it is useless. Meanwhile, if something can save just one person, then whoever carries it out gains that much mighty virtue for it.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2010 New York Fa Conference” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference XI)
Although we hung 40 Dafa banners this Chinese New Year's Eve, if even only one person able to discover the real situation behind the persecution as a result of seeing our banners, it will have been well worth the effort.
