(Minghui.org) A total of 14 Jiaozuo City residents have been prosecuted for filing criminal complaints against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for ordering the persecution of Falun Gong that resulted in their past arrests.

Six of the Falun Gong practitioners have been sentenced to prison. The remaining eight practitioners have been tried and are awaiting verdicts.

6 Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Du Farong, 67, was sentenced to 3.5 years on May 30, 2016. She filed an appeal, but Lu Ming, a court president of Jiaozuo City Intermediate Court, said, “We’ll sentence anyone who sues Jiang Zemin. We will simply uphold the original verdicts without additional hearings.”

Mr. Cheng Kun, 38, was sentenced to 3 years on June 2, 2016.

Ms. Wang Junying, 49, was sentenced to 3 years following her arrest on August 23, 2015.

Ms. Pang Yinfeng, 67, was sentenced to 3 years following her arrest on November 28, 2016.

Lv Fawu and Huang Shumin were each sentenced to 3 years.

8 Awaiting Verdicts

He Zhanquan and Zhangwei were arrested on May 18, 2016. It is unclear when they were tried. According to insiders, they are now both hospitalized after developing adverse health symptoms in detention.

Mr. Wu Shaochun, in his 60s, was tried on April 13, 2016.

Ms. Li Xiaojun, in her 40s, was tried on August 10, 2016.

Yang Yanyue, Xu Guojun, Li Xiaojun, and Zhang Jie are also confirmed to have been tried, though their court dates remain to be investigated.

Jiang Zemin, as head of the CCP, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong in July 1999.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief, and even killed for their organs. Jiang is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the CCP established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. This organization overrides the police and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's policy regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising this right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
