(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xie Guichen in Critical Condition

Mr. Xie Guichen developed uremia and severe renal failure due to persecution in Jilin Prison. He is in critical condition. Prison authorities have denied him any treatment.

2. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Xiwu Detained

Mr. Wang Xiwu, a teacher at the Jishu Town No. 13 Middle School, was arrested at school on October 18, 2016. He was taken to the Shulan City Detention Center.

3. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Shulan City Board of Education: Practitioners Banned from Teaching

The Shulan City Board of Education made the following announcements to the city's education sector on November 7, 2016.

1. A school would be disqualified for this year's candidacy for outstanding ranking or star rating if a Falun Gong practitioner works there.

2. Falun Gong practitioners will be denied evaluation on their ranks this year.

3. Falun Gong practitioners are not allowed to teach in class.

4. Any Falun Gong practitioner who has received a teaching certificate must rescind the certificate.

5. Anyone who is a practitioner must turn in a written report on his thoughts to Wen Changji, director of the Security Office, each month.

4. [Qian'an County, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Ji Chunlai and his wife Ms. Jin Zhanfeng were arrested at home by Ma Jun and other officers from the Qian'an County No. 3 Police Station on November 1, 2016. Mr. Ji was released that afternoon. Ms. Jin was taken to a detention center for 10 days of detention.

Ms. Huang Shulan was arrested by the officers for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer among other items. She is held in the Songyuan Detention Center.

Ms. He Hongmei was arrested by officers from the Qian'an County Domestic Security Division. She is held in the Songyuan Detention Center. No family visits are allowed.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sheng Guizhen Passes Away Due to Persecution

Mr. Cheng Guizhen passed away at home due to heart failure on October 16, 2016. He was 52 years old.

Mr. Cheng was repeatedly arrested and sentenced to forced labor. He was dismissed from his job in the Changchun First Auto Works for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. As a result, he had difficulty making a living.

He was arrested at home by residential police officers from the Dongfeng Police Station on October 8, 2015. He was held in the Weizigou Detention Center for five days.

Mr. Cheng was again arrested on the morning of May 25, 2016. He was held in the detention center for 10 days.

After he was released and returned home, Mr. Cheng was under constant pressure and persecution in various forms from his work unit, which caused him serious physical and mental harm and eventually led to his death.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Yiwu Detained

Mr. Jiang Yiwu was arrested by Li Junlong, an officer from the Changtonglu Police Station, on the afternoon of November 4, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong near Guangfu Road. He was taken to a detention center for 15 days of detention.

7. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Suqing Detained

Ms. Liu Suqing was arrested and taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Peilan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Peilan was recently sentenced to two years of prison by the Licheng Court.

9. [Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Donglian Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Chen Donglian was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Chaoan District Court on November 2, 2016.

10. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Family of Three Arrested

Mr. Zhou Dunwang, his wife Ms. Yang Xianfeng, and their son Mr. Zhou Liang were arrested by State Security officers in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, when they drove there to visit relatives in early November 2016.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Feng Jiwu Detained and Family Visits Denied

Mr. Feng Jiwu was transferred to the Hanyang District Detention Center. Family visits are denied.

12. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jing Xia Detained

Ms. Jing Xia, 57, from Jiangjun Street, was arrested by officers from the Fumin Police Station on October 4, 2016. She was taken to the Nangou Detention Center.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested

Ms. An Jing, Ms. Han Qing, Ms. Ye Zhongqiu, and nine other practitioners from Liaozhong District were arrested for distributing New Year's desktop calendars on the morning of November 3, 2016.

Officers from the Domestic Security Division, the Xijie Police Station, the Dongjie Police Station, the Dahei Township Police Station, and the Yangshibo Police Station, led by Li Wei, head of the Liaozhong District Domestic Security Division, carried out the arrests. The officers took away a large number of items, including computers and cellular phones. The practitioners are being held in the Shenyang City Detention Center.
