(Minghui.org) Ms. Wei Jianhua, a Fengzhen City resident, was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by Fengzhen City Court for suing Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party. She has appealed to Wulanchabu City Intermediate Court.

Ms. Wei was arrested on October 21, 2015. Her case file states that she was arrested for suing Jiang and that the arrest was ordered by higher officials. The secret order is in her case file.

Ms. Wei's husband was notified that she would be tried on July 5, 2016. Her attorney, family, and friends arrived at the court on that day, only to find out that the court session had been canceled.

Ms. Wei was tried on August 18, 2016, and her attorney pleaded not guilty on her behalf. Her family was not allowed to attend the hearing.

The attorney told Ms. Wei's husband on September 29 that the court had issued a verdict.

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of un told thousands of Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. They have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ called the “610 Office,” named for the date it was established, June 10, 1999. The organization overrides all security forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
