(Minghui.org) Zhejiang province authorities conducted two brainwashing sessions in Shaoxing City shortly before the G20 summit was held in Hangzhou, a city about 40 miles away.
The sessions targeted practitioners of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Officials from the provincial judicial bureau were present on the first day of each session, threatening to arrest and sentence to prison any practitioner who refused to renounce their faith.
The practitioners were each kept in a separate room and placed under 24/7 surveillance. They were forbidden to read Falun Gong books or do the Falun Gong exercises. They were also denied family visits and use of their cell phones.
The staff forced the practitioners to watch videos slandering Falun Gong. In the meantime, they also used various tactics to try to weaken the practitioners’ willpower.
The two sessions were held in a hotel situated in a remote area.
