Please Help Rescue Ms. Tu Ming

(Minghui.org) Ms. Tu Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested in Shanghai for the second time in May 2016. She was subsequently given a 4-year sentence in July 2016.

Prior to her arrest, Ms. Tu had been homeless and destitute for six years to avoid being illegally persecuted. After the arrest, she was force-fed in the Shanghai Prison Hospital, which severely damaged her throat and caused her to vomit regularly.

Ms. Tu is now wheelchair-bound, as the torture she was subjected to has caused her to become paralyzed. Her family is not allowed to visit her.

Ms. Tu’s life is in danger and she needs your help.

Ms. Tu had written down her life-changing story before her arrest in May. She hopes that more people will learn the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Her account is as follows:

A Spoiled Princess

I am the youngest child in my family, so my parents spoiled me and treated me like a princess. Growing up, I had a big ego and was very selfish. Later, I worked in some foreign venture companies and held important positions.

Everything came easy for me. I was arrogant; my co-workers used to call me “Miss Big Ego.”

Searching for the Meaning of Life

I always liked mountains, so I traveled to many different places to visit famous temples. The first time I went to a Tibetan temple in Gansu Province, I saw Tibetans happily climbing up the mountain ridges to their holy place on the top of the mountain. Being an atheist, I admired them, but could not fathom what kind of power drove them to do this chore with so much joy.

Even though they were living such a simple lifestyle with almost no physical conveniences, the Tibetans were happy every day because their faith in their god is pure and solid.

I began to ponder who I was, where I was from, and where I would be after leaving this human world. From then on, I spent all my holidays and vacations traveling to different places looking for a destiny for my soul.

I finally found Falun Gong, which helped me understand that all my searching had been meant for me to find a way to cultivate in the human world. The teachings of Falun Dafa showed me the real meaning of life.

I no longer worried about losses and gains. I could find serenity in Falun Gong, and no matter what tribulations came my way – including all those days when I was incarcerated and tortured – my faith gave me the strength to endure all the hardships and misery.

Keeping My Integrity Intact at Work

I was the executive assistant for the CEO in a multinational company, and was in charge of booking hotel rooms, air tickets, and providing other benefits for their company employees.

It is common in China that airlines and hotels give commissions to people in my position, such that the total commission that I received surpassed my monthly salary. Falun Dafa taught me the real meaning of life, so I stopped taking commissions. I refused to be paid more than my fair share.

Falun Dafa transformed me into a person of dignity and honesty, and I refused to accept all behind-door deals. This revelation changed my point of view, and I felt as if I was a new person. I began to handle things from the company’s perspective, and trained my team members to be upright and positive. I told them to refuse to accept any undocumented deals. Thus, I was highly respected in my company.

Persecuted for My Faith

Not long after I began to practice Falun Gong in 2007, two government officials from the National Security Bureau came to my company to talk to me. They asked about my parents, and indicated that if I did not give up my faith, I might lose my freedom and job. Before leaving, they told my boss to monitor me.

I was confused – I followed Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in order to be a person with high morals and integrity, but government officials came to threaten me, and told me to denounce my faith. Why was this happening?

Having been persecuted during the Cultural Revolution, my parents also wanted me to stop practicing Falun Dafa because they were afraid that I would be persecuted.My mother knelt down in front of me to beg me to denounce Falun Dafa, and my father yelled at me.

I felt that everyone had deserted me, and the sky was falling.

Why Was I Cultivating?

I organized my thoughts, and pondered what Falun Dafa was and why I began to cultivate. After that, I looked at the reason why the Chinese Communist government banned people from practicing Dafa and persecuted Dafa practitioners.

I realized that I had not done anything wrong, and Falun Dafa actually had taught me to let go of my selfishness, be more conscientious, and always consider others first. My co-workers respected me because Falun Dafa taught me not to take bribes, and to always treat everyone with honesty and compassion.

I decided to continue cultivating Dafa.

I took very good care of my mother, who had shown some signs of early Alzheimer's. I told her to say, “Falun Dafa is good.”

She finally told me one day, “Dafa is indeed good,” and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

After learning the facts of what Falun Dafa really was, my father agreed to publish an apology on the Minghui website for the bad things he had said about Falun Dafa before.

Being a Christian, my boss understood why I refused to denounce my faith. He invited me over for dinner one day, and offered financial support for me to leave China.

Incarceration and Torture Will Not Wither My Will

The police broke into my apartment late one night in 2009. After turning my place upside down, they arrested me. I was not permitted to call my family until the next morning. I was locked up in a detention center, where officers from the National Security Bureau interrogated me three times. I was deprived of the right to do the Falun Dafa exercises.

In the detention center, I was made to sleep in a small cell with drug addicts, drug dealers and thieves. At first, I was lonely, since the inmates were prohibited from talking to me. I often helped them resolve conflicts, however. Gradually, my compassion finally touched them and won their trust.

The meager meals in the detention center were never enough to fill my stomach, so when we were given two meat balls before the Mid-Autumn Festival, I ate one only, and carefully saved the other one for later.

The harsh condition in the detention center, as well as my fear that I would be brutally tortured, eventually overpowered me. I gave in and signed their interrogation record. But right after that, I regretted it and decided that I would never collaborate with the detention center anymore.

After I was released, the Liaoning Provincial Procuratorate prosecutor called me to court twice in December 2009, but I refused to sign their accusation. To avoid further persecution, I left my home and became homeless and destitute.

Falun Dafa has changed me from a “Miss Big Ego” to a person of honesty and integrity. Falun Dafa purified my body and mind, and elevated my moral standards. It helped me to understand the real meaning of life, and find the destiny for my soul.

I am not a criminal and have not done anything wrong that violates Chinese law. Falun Dafa practitioners are good and law-biding citizens.
