Additional Persecution News from China – October 13, 2016 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Mr. Jiang Minshi Displaced; Mr. Ma Yongfu Detained

Mr. Jiang Minshi was forcibly displaced. Mr. Ma Yongfu was detained.

2. [Zhaoyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

A dozen or so officers from the provincial Public Security Department's Domestic Security Division and the Zhaoyuan County Police Department's Domestic Security Division broke into the hotel operated by Ms. Xiao Fengli, the hotel operated by Mr. Meng Guangfeng, and the computer shop operated by Mr. Zhao Shifeng respectively on the evening of October 11, 2016.

They arrested Mr. Meng Guangfeng, Mr. Zhao Shifeng, and Ms. Xu Guishuang.

Mr. Liu Rong, Mr. Wang Shulin, Ms. Zhai Fengjing, Ms. Zhai Fengxian, Ms. Zhai Fengzhen, and Ms. Xing Yanfang were in the computer shop at the time. They were also arrested.

Mr. Meng and Mr. Zhao are being held in the Zhaoyuan County Detention Center. The other seven practitioners are held in the Zhaoyuan County Lockup Center.

Officers confiscated Mr. Meng's car, notebook computer, five cell phones, calendar boards valued at 10,000 yuan, Falun Gong books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Officers ransacked Ms. Xiao's hotel and confiscated Falun Gong books, DVDs, and materials. They took pictures and videos in both places.

Mr. Song Shiping was arrested at noon on October 11, 2016.

4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Sun Youlan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Sun Youlan was arrested at home in Etou Village, Tangdi Town, by three officers including Zhou Honghai from the Anlu City Domestic Security Division on the morning of September 22, 2016. She was taken to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center. She was sent home the following day.

5. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Fen Ding Arrested

Ms. Fen Ding from Gaoling District was arrested and taken to an urban area near Xi'an on October 11, 2016 for distributing Falun Gong materials.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoguang Detained

Ms. Wang Xiaoguang, in her 50s, was arrested on October 9, 2016 and detained for five days.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yulan Develops Uterine Fibroids Due to Persecution

Ms. Li Yulan was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station, Changqing District, on the morning of September 27, 2016 for posting Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Jinan Detention Center on September 29. She now has bloody discharges every day. She was diagnosed with uterine fibroids

8. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Yanqiu, Ms. Liu Fengrong, and two other practitioners were arrested on October 12, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

9. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center After Being Held Nearly Two Months

Ms. Liu Guibi, Mr. Hu Mingwen, and Ms. Tian Yifeng were arrested by officers from the Jingguan Police Station on August 11, 2016. They were held in the Beibei District Detected Center for nearly two months. Their families recently found out that they were transferred to a brainwashing center after asking for information about them from numerous sources.

10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zheng Xinwei Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zheng Xinwei was arrested at work and taken to the Qieryi Brainwashing Center on October 12, 2016.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Lianwen Arrested

Mr. Zhang Lianwen was arrested by officers from the Minyun Police Station on the evening of October 11, 2016 for removing signs that slandered Falun Gong. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books.

12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Peilan Detained

Ms. Li Peilan's family, pressured by the Licheng District Court officials, took her to the authorities on October 8, 2016 when she was in Zhangqiu District, her home town. She was sent to the Jinan City Detention Center.

13. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Congchun and Mr. Li Mingtao were tried on the morning of October 11, 2016.

Mr. Xun Jianqiang, Ms. Du Xiuying, Ms. Li Aixiu, Ms. Wei Xiufang, Ms. Ma Meifang, and Ms. Wang Shuqin went to Feixiang District to attend the hearing. They were stopped on the road and taken to the Anti-Riot Division by patrol officers from Feixiang District. Four of the six practitioners' homes were ransacked that evening. It was reported that Mr. Xun, Ms. Li, Ms. Ma, and Ms. Wang had been taken to the Handan District Detention Center and the Cheng'an Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

The following morning, Jia Xiaojie, head of the Domestic Security Division, and other officers ransacked Mr. Xun's home again. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, desktop calendars, calendars, and necklaces. They also tore down all the couplets in his home.

14. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lei Zaiqing's Home Ransacked

Officers from the Zhihe Town 610 Office and the Guangming Police Station led by Deng Weiqing, head of the No. 3 Team of Huguo Village, went to Mr. Lei Zaiqing's home on the afternoon of October 11, 2016. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, materials, and a DVD player.

15. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Yingui Detained

Several officers led by Zhao Gang, director of the Jiaojiawan Police Station, Chengguan District, broke into Mr. Li Yingui's home on September 5, 2016. They ransacked his home and confiscated over 10 copies of Falun Gong books, materials, and two Falun Dafa symbols. Mr. Li was taken to the police station before being sent to the Taoshuping Detention Center for 15 days of detention. He was released on September 20, 2016.

16. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Yunqin Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yunqin was arrested by officers from the local Domestic Security Division on October 12, 2016.

17. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yan Shufang Officially Placed Under Arrest

Ms. Yan Shufang was arrested on April 24, 2016. She was taken to the Antu County Domestic Security Division, Yanji City, on May 13. She was officially placed under arrest on June 3. Her case was handed over to the Antu County Procuratorate on September 6, 2016.

18. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Xiancheng Detained

Ms. Li Xiancheng, 53, from Fengjie County, was arrested by five officers from the Fengjie County Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of October 10, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Fengjie County Detention Center.

19. [Tianjin] Tianjin Second Intermediate Court Upheld Mr. Li Wen’s Verdict

Tianjin Second Intermediate Court issued a decision on October 9 to uphold a lower court's guilty verdict against a 48-year-old local engineer.

Mr. Li Wen was sentenced to three years in prison for filing a criminal complaint against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that resulted in his seven-year imprisonment in the past.

Mr. Li filed an appeal, only to no avail. He remains at Hexi District Detention Center following his arrest on July 30, 2015. It's unclear when he'll be transferred to prison.

20. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. He Jianguo Tortured in Fanjiaotai Prison

Mr. He Jianguo in his 50s was sentenced to three years and ten months of imprisonment in 2015. He has been held at the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang, Hubei Province since the end of 2015.

The guards ordered other prisoners to beat and curse Mr. He in order to force him to write the guarantee letters of giving up practicing Falun Gong. Mr. He was forced to work more than ten hours every day. He became extremely emaciated.

21. [Yuxi City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhang Ruiling Sentenced to 3.5 Years Imprisonment

Yimen County Court of Yuxi City covertly sentenced Ms. Zhang Ruiling to 3.5 years of imprisonment on August 25, 2016.

When Ms. Zhang was held at the Yuxi Detention Center, officers from Yimen Police Department went to Ms. Zhang’s home at Hunan County, Heilongjiang Province and ransacked it. They took her Falun Dafa books and Minghui Weekly and used them as evidence to persecute her.
