(Minghui.org) Mr. Yang Daowen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hunan Province, was arrested on September 17, 2015. After being tortured in brainwashing centers, his eardrum was ruptured.
Mr. Yang, who is from Wukou Town in Pingjiang County, was arrested and taken to the Hengchangshanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Pingjiang County, where he was deprived of sleep for four nights, for refusing to give up Falun Gong. He was then transferred to the Xiuhuashanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Yueyang County and illegally detained for five days. The officers in the center hit his head hard with a thick book, causing his eardrum to rupture.
The Domestic Security Division submitted Mr. Yang's case to the Pingjiang Procuratorate. The Procuratorate knew Mr. Yang should not have been arrested, but they nonetheless issued an arrest warrant. The Pingjiang County Police Department issued the official arrest notification on November 6, 2015.
Mr. Yang has been detained in the Linxiang Detention Center for over three months. His family is not allowed to visit him.
For practicing Falun Gong, he had been arrested and detained many times. He was taken to the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp in Hunan Province for 15 months in 2007, where he was tortured.
