Additional Persecution News from China – August 29, 2015 (Part I, 20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yunhua and Ms. Li Shangying Detained

Ms. Li Yunhua and Ms. Li Shangying were arrested by officers from the Sujiadian Police Station on August 26, 2015. They are detained at that police station.

2. [Neixiang County, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Jianwen Detained

Mr. Wang Jianwen was arrested by officers from the Mashan Police Station on August 21, 2015. He was later taken to and detained at Neixiang County Detention Center.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Dong Mei, Mr. Lin Yan, Ms. Zhao Yanxia, and Ms. Meng Yan were arrested by officers from the Qianan County Domestic Security Division on August 20, 2015. The police confiscated printers, computers, and other personal items.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Hou Zhigang Detained

Mr. Hou Zhigang was recently arrested by officers from the Xinjilin Police Station. The police confiscated his computer and cell phone. He was detained at Jilin City Detention Center for 15 days.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Jinying Detained

Ms. Liu Jinying was arrested by officers from the Xiaozhan Town Police Station on August 24, 2015. She is detained at the Jinnan Police Department's Detention Center.

6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xiaofeng Subject to Brainwashing

Mr. Wang Xiaofeng was sentenced to a three-year prison term on August 19, 2015. He was taken to Jidong Prison in Tangshan City. He was deprived of family visits and subject to brainwashing.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Haohui and Ms. Du Wenli Detained

Mr. Liu Haohui was arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on August 21, 2015. His wife Ms. Du Wenli was later monitored and arrested by plainclothes officers. The police confiscated from their home a car, cell phones, computers, printers, and cash. Mr. Liu is detained at the Zhaoyuan Detention Center and Ms. Liu at the Yantai Detention Center.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Juan Arrested

Ms. Gao Juan was arrested on August 23, 2015.

9. [Nongan County, Jilin City] Ms. Wang Rui Arrested

Ms. Wang Rui, 64, was arrested at home by officers from the Gucheng Police Station on August 24, 2015.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Ning Yuqing and Ms. Chen Chunling Arrested

Ms. Ning Yuqing and her daughter Ms. Chen Chunling were arrested at home by officers from Ji County 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, Wenchang Police Station, and Hongyali Residential Committee on August 17, 2015. The police confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, computers, cell phones, and approximately 400 yuan in paper money with messages about Falun Gong written on them. Both Ms. Ning and Ms. Chen were taken to Wenchang Police Station and later released.

11. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yi Quanxue, Ms. Sun Guibao, Ms. Yan Junlan, and Mr. Chen Zengbing were arrested by plainclothes officers from the local police station on August 23, 2015, for posting informational stickers about suing Jiang Zemin. They were all taken to Duolun County Police Department. Mr. Chen is detained at a detention center and the three female practitioners were released.

12. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Mr. Li Xide and Ms. Wang Suxia Detained

Mr. Li Xide and his wife Ms. Wang Suxia were arrested by officers from the Beida Police Station on August 25, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against the Chinese Communist Party's dictator Jiang Zemin. They are detained at Yulin Detention Center.

13. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Hongyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Hongyan was arrested by officers from the Xinkou Town Police Station on August 21, 2015.

14. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chunyan was recently arrested by officers from the Houjiaying Police Station for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.

15. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Zhihui Arrested

Ms. Ma Zhihui, 69, was arrested by officers from the Gaoling Police Station on August 22, 2015, for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

16. [Qianan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Cuijun and Ms. Zhou Xiaojuan Detained

Ms. Shi Cuijun and Ms. Zhou Xiaojuan were arrested on August 18, 2015. They are detained at the Qianan City Detention Center.

17. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Bian Guiling's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Bian Guiling was recently arrested and her whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Yiyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Fangzhi Arrested

Ms. Gong Fangzhi was arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on August 26, 2015, for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.

19. [Chongqing] Six Practitioners Arrested

The Youyang County Court sentenced six Falun Gong practitioners on August 24, 2015. Mr. Wang Aihua was sentenced to five years of imprisonment; Ms. Zhang Xianbi and Ms. Tian Qimei, 3 years; Mr. Qin Aimin and Mr. Du Yangxi, 1.5 years; Ms. Qin Huaxian, 1 year.

The six practitioners were arrested when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials on June 1, 2014.

20. [Chengjiang County, Yunnan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

The Chengjiang County Court sentenced four Falun Gong practitioners on August 12, 2015. Ms. Liu Yan and Ms. Yuan Yiqun were sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Ms. Yang Li and Ms. Yang Huilan were sentenced to three years of imprisonment with four years of probation.
