(Minghui.org) I am a 54-year-old peasant in Jiedong County, Guangdong Province. I was forced to have a tubal sterilization operation in 2005 even though I had breast hyperplasia and anemia. (Editor's note: due to China's one-child policy, it is common for local officials to force the sterilization of fertile women.)
The operation resulted in complications including a slipped lumbar disc and an assortment of other ailments. I became bedridden and lived in pain every day. On top of that, no medical treatment seemed to work. There was always something wrong with me and I fell into depression.
One day, my aunt from Guangzhou introduced me to Falun Dafa.
She said, “Falun Dafa [also known as Falun Gong] is a universal law. It teaches people to cultivate according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Master Li [founder of Falun Dafa] has come to save people. He will clear away your diseases and purify your body if you practice Dafa sincerely. You will reach enlightenment as long as you cultivate diligently to improve yourself.”
Benefiting from Dafa
My aunt's words gave me hope. They were the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel – a tunnel that I couldn't wait to crawl out of.
I made the decision to move into my aunt's house to practice Falun Gong with her. My constitution became stronger and my health gradually improved.
My faith in Dafa only became stronger after I returned home. I clarified the facts about Falun Dafa wholeheartedly. Pretty soon, my ailments disappeared and I regained my health.
All my relatives can attest to the miraculous change after I took up Dafa. My complexion went from ashen to rosy. They all said that I looked like a completely different person.
My Husband's Change of Heart
My husband had a very fiery temper, which got him into some trouble at times. He argued with the Chinese Communist Party cadres over the expenses of my tubal sterilization, which we had to pay.
For his troubles, he was badly beaten by police officers and detained at the Jiedong County Detention Center for more than 20 days. His nose was severely deformed after the beating and could not be straightened. His hearing was also damaged.
I visited him in the detention center. Surprised at the changes he saw in me, he too saw hope. He began practicing Falun Dafa after he was released. Before he knew it, his damaged nose had straightened itself, and he could hear clearly again.
My husband once had a strong desire for revenge against the cadres who had wronged him. But his attitude changed after he listened to Master Li's lecture and Dafa music “Pudu” and “Jishi”. He became calm and conducted himself according to the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” His resentment disappeared.
He and I both now believe that Falun Dafa is miraculous. We believe that it can save all sentient beings and direct them towards a righteous path. My husband and myself are both living proof of that.
