(Minghui.org) I work for a foreign capital enterprise. Over the last ten years or so, people working there have considered it their second home. The main reason is that we use the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance to guide our business and management practices and it has positively affected the entire company.

My Behavior and Conduct Changes after Practicing Falun Dafa

Our managers and security guards are mostly former soldiers and armed police. Whenever we had problems with customers that wouldn't pay their bills on time, these employees treated them very aggressively. We became infamous for this reason.

Since I started to practice Falun Dafa, my behavior and conduct has improved significantly. I also used to be aggressive and was feared by my subordinates. I was called the “strong woman.” One employee commented, “In the past, your eyes were as sharp as blades. When dealing with customers, you were always arrogant and appeared better than them. If someone made trouble with us, you would become irritated immediately and wouldn't stop fighting back until you put that person down.”

However, I now follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in my daily life. My mind has gradually calmed down, and it has become easier for me to think about others first. The way I've managed the company has also changed. Whether I'm completing a project or in a meeting, I always stress that Falun Dafa is a great way that has high moral standards. I also suggest that the staff should strive to improve their moral character.

Furthermore, the way the company is run has changed. We no longer use harsh tactics like in the past. We communicate with customers with compassion and try to make friends with them. Our motto is to “Treat people sincerely and do things with a compassionate heart.” The motto even hangs above the receptionist's desk.

We now evaluate ourselves using the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance when doing business and solving problems. It's embedded in the culture of our company.

Whenever an employee has trouble at home, people at work reach out to help them. Thus, everyone has felt warmth from the company and understands that Falun Dafa is good.

A family member of one employee said, “It is really good that you have a boss who practices Falun Dafa. It makes your company different from others.” Dafa has made the whole company cohesive from top to bottom. As a result, our company has a great reputation.

Creating a Good Cultivation Environment

Why would all employees, from managers to employees, accept Dafa and use its principles to evaluate the things they encounter? The answer is simple: half of the managers are Dafa practitioners.

I was the only practitioner in the company at first. Then, in the recruiting process, several practitioners and their family members came on board due to my recommendation. Later, we started a Fa-study group inside the company. When we study the Fa together, we consider ourselves as practitioners first and foremost; when carrying out our jobs, we consider ourselves as employees.

When the company encounters difficult problems, we share ideas and discuss them at Fa-study. Oftentimes, it is the janitor who has the best solutions. This is because he looks at the problem from the perspective of the Fa. It is Dafa that gives him wisdom. In this way, we keep our focus on studying the Fa, cultivating ourselves continuously and advancing diligently in our cultivation together.

Practitioners in our Fa-study group have told nearly every customer they come into contact with about Falun Dafa, and give them materials about Dafa and the persecution.

Our company's Fa-study group has become a great place for practitioners to share their experiences. Everyone has realized that this cultivation environment has been given to us by Master and that we should do our best to cherish it.

When the police or people from other government departments come to our company to check up on us, everyone naturally thinks about what they can do to protect practitioners.

When I was released after being arrested for practicing Falun Dafa, my position at the company was still there for me. I know it is because they trust practitioners.

A Test for Practitioners

Although we live in China where the persecution continues, our company has always been a safe and peaceful place. However, something unexpected happened not too long ago that was a test in our cultivation.

One of our customers tried to open a store. They were visited by government officials who told him that there was something wrong with the registration paperwork. One of our employees and the customer went to check the original document together. But the head of the governmental department in charge told them that the document couldn't be found.

No one in the government department wanted to help us solve the problem. As a result, the customer thought that our company and the government conspired to cheat him. A lot of people advised this customer what to do, and a lawyer suggested that he sue our company. Another person urged him to appeal to higher authorities for help. The media even reported that our company and the government had cheated this person.

The customer brought the problem before the higher authorities. The governmental department in charge refused to solve the problem, and even advised us to hire gang members to threaten the customer into settling the issue.

The once friendly customer suddenly turned into a stranger full of anger! What should we do?

We studied “Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia.” Master said:

“You should treat everyone compassionately and look for causes in yourself when encountering any problem. Even if others badmouth us or hit us, we should all look within ourselves—“Was it caused by my being wrong in some regard?” This enables you to find the root cause of the conflict, and it is the best way to remove the attachment to selfishness. Have a bigger and bigger heart, to the point where in your personal cultivation you can forgive everyone, including forgiving your enemies.”

Master’s Fa helped us realize two shortcomings we had: The first was to look within and the second was to treat everyone compassionately. This test was caused by gaps in our xinxing, which the old forces tried to use to destroy our cultivation environment.

We should not accept any arrangements by the old forces. We should treat everything we come across as a “good thing,” and use the opportunity to look within and improve ourselves from the perspective of the Fa. It also gives us an excuse to work with the customer more closely and have the opportunity to tell them about Dafa. We really should thank this customer.

We had a meeting with the management on how to proceed. We needed to correct our thinking and talk to the customer in depth with compassion.

When we spoke to the customer, we were told that they just wanted to fight with us because they didn't know what else to do.

We finally realized that they were being controlled by the old forces in other dimensions. We should not blame or hate that person. Practitioners sent forth stronger righteous thoughts to clear away the old force elements interfering with the customer.

We finally heard back from the government offices that we didn't do anything incorrectly. During this period, we improved our xinxing and gave up a lot of bad notions through cultivation.

The matter should have been resolved at this point, but the customer then started to fight with the government officials. Though our company was no longer involved, the practitioners in our Fa-study group realized that this incident was not just a persecution targeting us, but also the customer. We should treat everything we see as an opportunity to tell people about Dafa and save them.

We started to clarify the facts wherever problems arose, from the city government, to the district government and even higher authorities.

Our workplace has become a hub of sorts for saving sentient beings.
