Additional Persecution News from China – July 23, 2015 (44 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 34 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 70 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

Mr. Zhao Banghai and Ms. Li Changqiu were each sentenced to seven-year prison terms by the Longquanyi District Court on July 21, 2015.

2. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Mr. He Yongming Arrested

Mr. He Yongming was arrested at home by officers from the Renhe District Police Department on July 20, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated two computers, five printers, several boxes of blank DVDs, Falun Gong books, notebooks, and other personal items.

3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cui Leju, 65, and her daughter Ms. Yu Qing, 46, were arrested by officers from local Domestic Security Division on July 22, 2015. The police ransacked her home. Mr. Shi and Mr. Liu were also arrested.

4. [Kenli County, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Yuying Arrested

Ms. Pan Yuying was arrested by plainclothes officers waiting outside her home on July 21, 2015. Police confiscated laptop computers, computers, recorders, printers and other personal items.

5. [Tianjin] Mr. Yang Zhiqiang Arrested

Mr. Yang Zhiqiang, from Ninghe County, was arrested and his home was ransacked by police officers on July 21, 2015.

6. [Sanmenxia City, Henan Province] Mr. Shi Fendan Arrested

Mr. Shi Fendan was recently arrested by Wang Jianxin, officer from the Xiaoshanlu Police Station, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, criminal complaint documents against Jiang Zemin (former head of the Chinese Communist Party), and other items.

7. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Cao Aixiu and Ms. Liu Lala Arrested

Ms. Cao Aixiu and Ms. Liu Lala were arrested on July 21, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Hongbin's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhang Hongbin was arrested in early July 2015. His whereabouts are still unknown.

9. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Shengcai and Mr. Chen Yunyong Arrested

Mr. Ma Shengcai and Mr. Chen Yunyong were arrested by officers from the Longjiajuan Police Station on July 21, 2015. The police confiscated their complaints against Jiang Zemin (former head of the communist regime), from the post office where they mailed them.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xia Xingwei and Ms. Chen Yonglan Arrested

Mr. Xia Xingwei and Ms. Chen Yonglan were arrested by officers from the Shuiquan Township Police Station in Shuangcheng District on July 22, 2015. The police ransacked their homes. They were taken to the Shuiquan Township Police Station.

Mr. Li Wengang was arrested by officers from the Xianyangbeilu Police Station in Hongqiao District on July 4, 2015. He is detained at the Hongqiao District Detention Center.

Whereabouts of Mr. Li Changchun, Mr. Ke, and Ms. Xiaoyu, arrested on July 20, 2015, are still unknown.

13. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Baolin and Ms. Liu Wenxiu Arrested

Ms. Zhang Baolin and Ms. Liu Wenxiu were arrested by officers from the Macheng Domestic Security Division in Huanggang City on July 21, 2015. The police confiscated laptop computers and printers from Ms. Zhang's home.

14. [Shanghai] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners were arrested by officers from the Huangpu District 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on July 16, 2015: Ms. Zhu Hua, Ms. Wang Beilei, Ms. Shi Yaqin, Ms. Yu Lanhua, Ms. Zhuang Huizhu, and Ms. Li. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Wang are detained at the Huangpu District Detention Center. The others' whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Xulan was arrested on July 21, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Li Guirong was recently arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is detained at the Gaobeidian City Detention Center.

16. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xiaojiang Detained

Ms. Xiaojiang, arrested at home on July 21, 2015, is detained at the Baoqing Detention Center.

17. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Haitao Detained

Mr. Sun Haitao, 27, was arrested by officers from the Yingbin Police Station on July 21, 2015. He is detained at the Liaohe Detention Center.

18. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Suyun and Ms. Bi Shumin Detained

Ms. Liu Suyun and Ms. Bi Shumin were arrested by officers from the Pi County Police Station on July 14, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against the dictator Jiang Zemin at the Pi County Post Office. The complaint documents were confiscated. They were detained at the police station and released that evening.

19. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Huifen Detained

Ms. Chen Huifen was arrested by officers from the Ande Police Station on July 13, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party, at the Tangchang Town Post Office on July 12. She was detained at the Tangchang Town Judicial Department and then released.

20. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Xianru and Ms. Chen Yonglan Arrested

Ms. Liu Xianru was arrested at home by officers from the Shuangcheng Police Department on July 11, 2015. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Liu is detained at the Yazijuan Detention Center in Harbin City.

Ms. Chen Yonglan, Ms. Liu's daughter, was arrested on July 17, when she went to the detention center to see her mother.

21. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. An Xiaoying Arrested

Ms. An Xiaoying was arrested on July 22, 2015. The police confiscated her printers, DVDs, computers, and Falun Gong books.

22. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Junhua and Ms. Dong Guiqin Arrested

Mr. Dong Junhua and Ms. Dong Guiqin were arrested by officers from the Suizhong County Police Department and Gejia Police Station on July 22, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained at the Gejia Police Station. Mr. Dong later escaped, and Ms. Dong was taken to the Huludao Detention Center.

23. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Changhai and His Family Arrested

Mr. Liu Changhai and his wife and daughter were arrested by officers from the Xigang District Police Department on July 20, 2015. The police confiscated three computers and cell phones. His wife and daughter were released. Mr. Liu is still detained.

24. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Baogui Arrested

Mr. Han Baogui was recently arrested by officers from local Domestic Security Division for mailing criminal complaints against former dictator Jiang Zemin.

25. [Beijing] Mr. Zhao Shaokuan Arrested

Mr. Zhao Shaokuan, in his 60s, was arrested at home on July 20, 2015. His home was ransacked.

26. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Li's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yang Li, 66, was arrested on July 21, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

27. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Hu Chunfang Detained

Ms. Hu Chunfang was arrested and taken to the Menlou Town Police Station by plainclothes officers on July 21, 2015, for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in Fushan District. She was later transferred to the Dongting Detention Center.

28. [Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Guizhen, Ms. Liu Guixia, Ms. Li Yuhua, Mr. Liu Jun, and Ms. Xu Shuqin were arrested and taken to the Huafeichang Police Department on July 22, 2015. Their homes were ransacked.

29. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Mr. Cao Shengjun on the Verge of Death

Mr. Cao Shengjun was recently sentenced to a seven-year prison term. He is now on the verge of death due to abuses inflicted by the authorities.

30. [Tianzhu County, Gansu Province] Ms. Yue Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Yue Yuhua was arrested at her store by officers from the local Domestic Security Division on July 5, 2015. She was taken to the Heping Town Detention Center in Wuwei City.

31. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Chunyan, Mr. Wu Yajun, Ms. Sun Xiaoju, and Mr. Guo Hongliang were arrested by officers from the Xiancheng Police Station on July 14, 2015. They are detained at the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

32. [Changning City, Hunan Province] Mr. Tang Bangyao Arrested

Mr. Tang Bangyao was arrested on June 22, 2015. His head was swollen and bleeding after being severely beaten.

Mr. Shen Duanjun's arms were broken when he was severely beaten.

34. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Liping Arrested

Ms. Sun Liping was arrested and taken to the Jinan Prison on July 22, 2015.

35. [Tianzhu County, Gansu Province] Ms. Ma Fumei Detained

Ms. Ma Fumei was transferred from a detention house to the Wuwei Detention Center on July 17, 2015.

36. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Chen Mingan's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Chen Mingan was arrested at home on July 21, 2015. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

37. [Beijing] Mr. Tan Shouli and Mr. Liao Ran Arrested

Mr. Tan Shouli and Mr. Liao Ran were arrested at their homes by officers from local police department on July 20, 2015.

Ms. Chen Mingjing was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station on July 22, 2015. She was taken to Dalian City.

39. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chunyan was arrested by officers from the Chifeng City Songshan District Police Department on July 21, 2015.

Ms. Bi Yeling was arrested at a market by officers waiting there on July 22, 2015. She was later released.

Ms. Cao Rujie, who works at the Dalianhe Gasification Plant in Yilan County, was arrested at work on July 22, 2015.

Ms. Shi Yanjie was also arrested that day.
