Additional Persecution News from China – July 19, 2015 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xizhen Detained

Ms. Wang Xizhen from Honggou Village, Shizilu Town was arrested by Chen Xin and Guo Qiang, officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division, on July 9, 2015. She is being held in the Junan County Detention Center.

2. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yue Ling Detained

Ms. Yue Ling was reported to the police by a student’s parents for talking about the persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in class. She was arrested by officers from the Nanshan District Domestic Security Division and agents from the 610 Office on June 24, 2015 and taken to the Nanshan Detention Center. She was then taken away on July 9 by members of the 610 Office. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiu Cuimin Arrested

Ms. Qiu Cuimin from the Gouzi Village, Biguo Town, Zhaoyuan City was arrested by the Biguo Town 610 Office for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on the morning of July 18, 2015.

4. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Nie Chang'e Arrested

Ms. Nie Chang'e was reported to the police while posting Falun Gong informational materials on the afternoon of July 7, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong informational materials.

5. [Beijing] Mr. Meng Huiwen Arrested

Mr. Meng Huiwen, 67, from the Liangjianfang Village, Doudian Town, Fangshan District was arrested when he was mailing his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin at the local post office on July 17, 2015.

6. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yulan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yulan from Yangzhangzi Town was arrested by officers from the local police station on the morning of July 15, 2015. She was released that day.

7. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Seven Practitioners Detained

Ms. Gao Xiaoke, Ms. Wang Xiuxia, Ms. Han Qiuxia, Mr. Liu Weidong, Mr. Liang Rong, Mr. Su Shaohua, and Ms. Duan Xiaoyan were arrested on July 4, 2015. They were taken to the Sanyaocun Detention Center.

8. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zheng Jin Detained

Mr. Zheng Jin, 58, from the Sadianbian Village, Andi Town, Wucheng District, was arrested on April 16, 2015. He was taken to the Jinhua City Detention Center.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zheng Yanji Detained

Mr. Zheng Yanji, 54, from Changchunling Town, Fuyu County, went to the Nongan Post Office in Changchun City to mail his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on July 16, 2015. He was followed by Fuyu County Domestic Security officers. He and his son Mr. Zheng Chaoxing were arrested. His son was released, but Mr. Zheng is being held in a detention center.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Shan Arrested

Mr. Liu Shan, a Japanese language teacher in the Dalian University of Foreign Languages, was arrested in early July 2015. His whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Tian Shiwu and Wife Ms. Liu Yinmei Arrested

Mr. Tian Shiwu and his wife Liu Yinmei from Xin'an Village, Gaojia Town, Weibin District were arrested by officers from the Weibin Police Department on the afternoon of July 7, 2015.

12. [Chongqing] Ms. Ding Hongmei and Ms. Jian Xiaohua Arrested

Ms. Ding Hongmei and Ms. Jian Xiaohua from the Tongnan District were arrested when they were telling people about Falun Gong in the Tongnan West Market on July 16, 2015. Both practitioners are currently being held in the local police station.

13. [Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Yufen Arrested

Ms. Li Yufen was arrested on July 18, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yu Aimin Arrested

Ms. Yu Aimin was arrested on July 13, 2015 for filing a criminal lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked her home.

15. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Song Hongjun and Mr. Sun Shouyu were arrested on the afternoon of July 18, 2015 by officers from the Laizhou City 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division and the Shahe Town Police Station. Their homes were ransacked.

16. [Qianan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Luo Yingmin Arrested

Ms. Luo Yingmin went to Yanggezhuang Town to tell people about the persecution of Falun Gong on July 17, 2015. She was arrested by officers from the Yanggezhuang Police Station. She was released that night after the police extorted 10,000 yuan in cash from her family.

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Wei, Ms. Kong Fanzhen, Ms. Lin Hong, Ms. Zhang Wenyi, and another practitioner were arrested by officers from the Shashan Police Station and Wusong Police Station in the Heping District on July 16, 2015. The practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Ma Chunling Detained

Ms. Ma Chunling was arrested by officers from the Gaolou Police Station while distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of July 5, 2015. She is being held in the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

19. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Lizhong Persecuted to Death

While Mr. Huang Lizhong was held in the Panjin Prison, guards spotted him reading a Falun Dafa book, and forcibly took it away. He asked the guards to return the book several times. Instead returning the book, the guards beat him and shocked him with electric batons.

When Mr. Huang went on hunger strike, guards escalated their abuse and shocked him with electric batons for an extended period of time. Five days later, Mr. Huang was on the verge of death. His entire back was burned from the shocks. He was taken to the Panjin Prison Hospital.

Mr. Huang was handcuffed and shackled on the hospital bed with his legs and arms stretched out. He was force-fed with heavily salted corn porridge and became severely dehydrated as a result. Mr. Huang passed away on February 5, 2010.

20. [Danleng County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Guifen Loses Consciousness in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Guifen, 50, was arrested by officers from the Meishan City Domestic Security Division and agents from the 610 Office on June 23, 2015. She was taken to the Chongli Town Brainwashing Center. Eleven days later, Ms. Li fell unconscious and could not eat or speak. She was taken to the hospital after her son brought her back home from the brainwashing center.
