Additional Persecution News from China – August 12, 2015 (32 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 48 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shen Qichao and Ms. Zhong Nailan Arrested

Officers from the Nanjing Street Police Station, Chuanying District arrested Mr. Shen Qichao, 67, and Ms. Zhong Nailan, 58, while the two were telling people about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) near the No. 5 Middle School on July 27, 2015. The officers ransacked their homes. Ms. Zhong was released that evening. Mr. Shen was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

During the physical examination, Mr. Shen's blood pressure registered a reading of two hundred. The detention center refused to admit him. Mr. Shen was then held in the police station instead. On July 28, Mr. Shen was released after the police extorted 20,000 yuan from his family.

2. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Fengxian Detained

Officers from the Donghai Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Fengxian from Changshan Village when he was distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the afternoon of July 21, 2015. The officers ransacked his home. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Jidong County Domestic Security Division. He is being held in a detention center for 15 days of detention.

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Ying Detained

Ms. Ma Ying from the Longtan District was arrested by police officers from the Xin'an Police Station, Longtan District who were staked out in the corridor on August 7, 2015. He is being held in the Xiaobaishan Township Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

4. [Yongdeng County, Gansu Province] Mr. Jia Junmin and Ms. Yuan Hua Detained

Officers from the Yongdeng County Police Department and the Chengguan Town Police Station arrested Mr. Jia Junmin and Ms. Yuan Hua on July 2, 2015. Both practitioners were held for 15 days in the No. 2 Detention Center in Jiuzhou Development Zone, Lanzhou City.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zeng Youfang, Mr. Han Bujun, and Mr. Zeng Youxian from the Xindu District were arrested by officers from the Tianhui Town Police Station when they were telling people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of August 10, 2015. The three practitioners were taken to the Anjing Town Detention Center in Pi County. Mr. Zeng Youfang was released that night.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Shiying Detained

Officers from the Pengzhou City Police Department, the Shengping Town Police Station, and Wu Bangfu, head of the Shiqiao Village Security Committee, showed up at Ms. Yang Shiying's home in the village and arrested her on August 7, 2015. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, and a DVD burner. Ms. Yang is being held in the Pengzhou City Detention Center.

7. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gong Zongqin Arrested

Officers from the Shizhong District 610 Office and the Zhanggongqiao Neighborhood Administration Office arrested Mr. Gong Zongqin on August 7, 2015 for mailing his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The officers confiscated two computers, all his Falun Dafa books, and an MP3 player. Mr. Gong was taken to the Shizhong District Detention Center. He was released that day after failing the physical examination.

8. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Guoai Arrested

Officers from the Taocun Town Police Station arrested Mr. Liu Guoai, from the village, when he was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of August 10, 2015. Mr. Liu was taken to the police station.

9. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Shengyi and Mr. Hu Changyi Detained

Mr. Li Shengyi and Mr. Hu Changyi went to the local post office on August 10, 2015 to check on the delivery status of the lawsuits they had mailed out. Liu Meicheng, head of the county 610 Office, and Yuan Ping, an Anti-Riot Division officer, arrested them at the entrance of the post office. Both practitioners were taken to the county detention center.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xia Meirong Arrested

It was learned on August 5, 2015 that Ms. Xia Meirong was arrested.

11. [Lintao County, Gansu Province] Mr. Yan Yuanwei Arrested

Mr. Yan Yuanwei was arrested on August 10, 2015.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhuang Decheng, in his 60s, Ms. Gao Shuhua, in her 50s, and Mr. Wang Zhihuai, 67, were arrested on July 14, 2015 by officers from the Dehui City Domestic Security Division and the Xiajiadian Police Station. The three practitioners are being held in the Dehui City Brainwashing Center.

13. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Lu Qi and Ms. Xia Yuhua Arrested

Pan Jun and other officers from the Gulou District Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Lu Qi and Ms. Xia Yuhua's homes and ransacked them on the afternoon of August 6, 2015. They confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, and a photo of the Falun Gong founder. Both practitioners were arrested and taken to the Nanjing Detention Center. Ms. Lu returned home due to severe heart problems. Ms. Xia remains in custody.

14. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Jinhuan and Ms. Wang Guizhen Arrested

Mr. Wang Jinhuan and Ms. Wang Guizhen, from the Yayuan Town, Erdaojiang District, went to the Yayuan Post Office to mail their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin on July 31, 2015.

Ms. Wang Guizhen was arrested by Zhang Hongtao, deputy director of the Yayuan Police Station, and other officers. She was released due to a health condition, but was forced to pay a fine. The officers ransacked Mr. Wang Jinhuan's home.

15. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Xingtai and Mr. Zeng Xiangrui Detained

Mr. Wen Xingtai and Mr. Zeng Xiangrui were arrested on the morning of August 4, 2015. The police ransacked their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Shehong Detention Center.

16. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Chengnan Police Station in Wuling District, the State Security Division, and the 610 Office arrested Ms. Chen Kaili, Ms. Wang Xiaoqun, Ms. Zhao Xianyu, and Ms. Yin Hong on August 10, 2015. Ms. Wang Xiaoqun's home was ransacked.

17. [ Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Changchun Arrested

Ms. Chen Changchun, 52, from Ji'an City which is administered by Tonghua City, went to Toudao Town to distribute Falun Gong informational materials on August 10, 2015. Officers from the Toudao Town Police Station arrested her. Her family went to the police station on August 11 to demand her release.

18. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Yuqin Arrested

Ms. Lu Yuqin, from the Zhifu District, was arrested by officers from the Xingfu Police Station on August 10, 2015. She is being held in the police station.

19. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Shuhua Detained

Officers from the Yuanshi Town Police Station in Shifang City, which is under the administration of Deyang City, arrested Ms. Liu Shuhua in Shifang City on August 4, 2015. Ms. Liu is being held for 15 days of detention.

20. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Chunyan and Family Arrested

Officers from the Tong'erpu Police Department, Dengta City arrested Ms. Li Chunyan from Heilongjiang on August 10, 2015. The officers ransacked her home.

21. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Jiaqing and Ms. Pan Lili Arrested

Officers from the Huangwu Town Police Station arrested Ms. Lu Jiaqing and Ms. Pan Lili, from Huangwu Town, Zhifu District, on August 3, 2015 after they mailed their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Lu was released that day due to a health condition. Ms. Pan remains in detention and was told she would be held for 10 days.

22. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fang Yongjun and Ms. Cai Fengxia Arrested

Wang Guilin, from the Machang Police Station and other officers arrested Ms. Cai Fengxia at home on the afternoon of August 10, 2015. Subsequently, the officers arrested Mr. Fang Yongjun and confiscated a printer and a computer. Ms. Cai was released.

23. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Jinxia Arrested

Officers from the Jilin Province Public Security Department, the Changchun City Police Department, and the Huajia Township Police Station arrested Ms. Hu Jinxia at her home on August 11, 2015. They confiscated a notebook computer and a printer among other items.

24. [Shangqiu City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Jianfeng Detained

Mr. Liu Jianfeng was arrested when he was clearing banners slandering Falun Gong in the Suiyang District on the evening of August 2, 2015. He is being held in the Pingtai Detention Center.

25. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Hou Jinlu Arrested

Mr. Hou Jinlu, from Goujialing Village, Gaojia Town, Weibin District, was arrested on August 10, 2015 by officers from the Gaojia Town Police Station.

26. [Nong'an City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Guijin and Ms. Liu Xiaohui Arrested

Mr. Liu Guijin and Ms. Liu Xiaohui, who live in Taipingshan Village, Bajilei Town were arrested on August 11, 2015 by officers from the Bajilei Town.

27. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Chunlin Arrested

Xu Honghai, head of one of the village's security subdivisions, and officers from the Gaoli Township Police Station arrested Mr. Li Chunlin, from Gaoli Township, Dingxing County, on August 6, 2015. He is being held in the Gaoli Police Station.

28. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Deng Lijuan and Ms. Chen Xiuyun Arrested

Ms. Deng Lijuan and Ms. Chen Xiuyun went to Dunhua City recently. They were arrested.

29. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bian Aina and Mr. Lou Yuejun Detained

Ms. Bian Aina and Mr. Lou Yuejun, from the Bayuquan District, were arrested by the Bayuquan District Police Department on August 10, 2015. Ms. Bian is being held in the Yingkou City Detention Center. Mr. Lou is being held in the Bayuquan Detention Center.

30. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xu Yaping Detained

Officers from the Haimen City Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Xu Yaping, 41, from the Jinsha Town, Tongzhou District on August 8, 2015. Ms. Xu was taken to the detention center for 10 days of detention.

31. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Chunling Sentenced to Prison

Officers from the Huixian City Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Li Chunling's home and arrested her on the morning of November 3, 2014. They confiscated about 10,000 yuan in cash. Ms. Li was previously held in the Xinxiang City Detention Center. She was sentenced to five years in prison on July 19, 2015. She has been transferred to the Henan Province Women's Prison.

32. [Chongqing] Mr. Wu Lixing and Ms. Wei Jiuqin Detained

Officers from the Kai County Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the 610 Office lured Mr. Wu Lixing and Ms. Wei Jiuqin to the Kai County Police Department, and then arrested them. Both practitioners are being held in the detention center.
