Retired Teacher Tried Again for Giving Amulets to Students

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Zishu, 72, a retired teacher from Jigang Elementary School, was illegally tried for a second time by Licheng District Court on August 20, 2015.

Unlike the first trial on July 9, 2015, Judge Wang Wenyan did not interrupt Ms. Wang this time as she talked about the benefits she received from practicing Falun Dafa.

Her attorney Mr. Zhang said in the final statement, “Many people present today have seen offenders who are involved in corruption, robbery, theft, etc… None of them are Falun Gong practitioners. We hope everyone here sees that this is a peaceful group.”

Ms. Wang was handcuffed and shackled as she entered the courtroom. At her attorney’s request, court guards removed the restraints. The judge also allowed Ms. Wang’s family to have a short conversation with her after the trial.

She was arrested on March 21, 2015, for giving Falun Dafa amulets to several students. She has been held in Zhonggong Detention Center in Jinan City, and deprived of family visits for more than five months.

During the first trial her husband noticed that Ms. Wang had become very emaciated. He felt very sad and asked the officers in the courtroom, “What's wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?” Nobody answered.
