Additional Persecution News from China – July 12, 2015 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court for bringing Jiang Zemin to justice have met with obstacles.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] 16 Practitioners Arrested

Fifteen practitioners were recently arrested: Mr. Lin Demin, Ms. Zhang Shixiang, Mr. Gao Shichang, Ms. Wang Shufen, Ms. Guo Fengqin, Mr. Li Guichun, Ms. Cheng Shulan, Ms. Guo Yuhuan, Ms. Zhang Shuqin, Ms. Jiang Zhiling, Ms. Xi Yulan, Ms. Tong Guihua, Ms. Ma Jingbo, Mr. Wang Zhengxing, Mr. Ma Weirong, and Ms. Wang Yali.

Mr. Lin Demin was arrested on July 10, 2015, for giving Wang Yubiao, an officer from the Domestic Security Division, a copy of informational material about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is now in a detention center.

Ms. Zhang Shixiang was arrested at home on July 11, 2015. Mr. Gao Shichang, Ms. Wang Shufen, and Ms. Guo Fengqin were arrested at home by officers from the local police station and Harbin City.

Mr. Ma Weirong and Mr. Wang Zhengxing were arrested by officers from the Shuangcheng District Public Security Division and Xinxing Police Station on the afternoon of July 11, 2015.

3. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Yuling Detained

Ms. Wang Yuling was arrested at home on the afternoon of July 6, 2015. She is in the Jintai Detention Center.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yu Taken to Dalian Drug Treatment Institute

Mr. Wang Yu was arrested by Dazheng Police Station officers on the morning of July 7, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home. He was later taken to the Dalian Drug Treatment Institute.

5. [Chongqing] Mr. Jiang Xiren Arrested

Mr. Jiang Xiren was arrested by Shemahe Police Station officers at noon on July 9, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Gong books. He was released that afternoon.

6. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Lanying Arrested

Ms. Yang Lanying was arrested by officers from the Linzhou City Domestic Security Division on July 10, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against the former head of the Party, Jiang Zemin.

7. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Qingying and Ms. Guo Zhaofeng Arrested

Ms. Zhao Qingying, 75, and Ms. Guo Zhaofeng, 69, were arrested by officers from the Guanyinge Police Station on July 9, 2015, for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhao was released that evening; Ms. Guo is in the Wulitun Detention Center.

8. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Shuying Arrested

Ms. Guo Shuying was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on the afternoon of July 11, 2015.

9. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiao Junying Arrested

Ms. Qiao Junying was arrested and taken to the Pudong Detention Center on June 5, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

10. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tong Lin Sentenced

Ms. Tong Lin was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Baoan District Court on June 17, 2015. She was taken to the Guangzhou Women's Prison.

11. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Guo Rongmei and Mr. Duan Zhixiang were arrested in Beijing on July 6, 2015. Another practitioner, also arrested in Beijing, was taken back by officers from the Shenglilu Police Station in Zhangjiakou City when he or she became critically ill.

12. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhi Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuzhi was arrested at home by officers from the Weibin District Police Department in late June 2015 for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party. The mail was intercepted by Baoji City authorities. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, informational materials and DVDs, and other personal items.

13. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Lu Zhihong Arrested

Mr. Lu Zhihong was arrested on July 8, 2015.

14. [Qingcheng County, Gansu Province] Ms. Wei Xueling Arrested

Ms. Wei Xueling was arrested on July 8, 2015. On the morning of July 7, her home was ransacked by officers from Changqing Oilfield Police Department in Beiguan Town. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

15. [Jishui County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wu Tuanlian's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wu Tuanlian was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Jishui County Police Department on June 26, 2015. The police ransacked her home. She was released in the evening but was arrested again at home on July 1, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Xilin, Guangxi] Ms. Yu Pinhui Arrested

Ms. Yu Pinhui was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Xilin County Police Department on July 5, 2015.

17. [Beijing] Mr. Ma Jian Sentenced

Mr. Ma Jian was sentenced to a six-month prison term in the Pingu District Court on July 9, 2015. His family was not informed. He is now in the Beijing City No. 3 Detention Center.

Ms. Tian Yuling was arrested by Lu Fengli, director of the Dule Town Police Station, on April 21, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was searched, interrogated, and handcuffed to an iron chair. The police forced her husband to write a guarantee statement and extorted 2,000 yuan from him before releasing her.
