(Minghui.org) “They used many kinds of torture on me: several guards and inmates beat me violently at the same time, they forced my legs into a split while twisting my upper body, and many other physical abuses. My bones were fractured, leaving me in severe pain and with a lower back injury,” wrote a retired engineer from the Aerospace Ministry in China.

Ms. Yue Changzhi is one of more than 30 practitioners who have recently filed criminal complaints against former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong. On July 4th, practitioners held banners, gave speeches, and informed passersby about the lawsuits being filed against Jiang at the financial center on George Street.

Practitioners hold copies of their criminal complaints at the gathering in Sydney on July 4, 2015.

Ms. Yue Changzhi, retired from the Aerospace Ministry in China, was severely tortured for her belief.

Professional logistics planner Mr. Huang Zhaoyi also shared his story. “I tried various types of qigong beginning in 1983. But it was not until 1993 when I began to practice Falun Gong that I experienced so many mental and physical benefits.” After his illnesses were cured and he returned to health, he became more open-minded and willing to help others.

“After Jiang banned Falun Gong, I was detained five times for my belief. Ten guards and inmates locked me up and beat me, over and over again, in a forced labor camp. Not only that, the mental stress, including sleep deprivation, was unbearable.”

In his complaint, Mr. Huang charged Jiang with the crimes of illegal detention and torture.

“This Is a Key Movement in History”

Ms. Lucy Zhao, president of the Falun Dafa Association of Australia, said suing Jiang has become a global phenomenon. “Based on information received from Minghui, more than 40,000 criminal complaints have been filed as of today.” Coming from China, Australia, and many other countries, these documents were submitted to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate in China and forwarded to Minghui.

“Jiang's crimes are special because, by persecuting practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he has undermined the very foundation of our civilization.”

Sun Baoqiang, a writer from Shanghai who currently lives outside of China, praised practitioners' perseverance: “You have suffered so much for your belief, and today, you are stepping forward again to bring the head of the communist regime to justice. Your efforts will change the justice system in China and civilization in China, moving towards a better future.

“That's why I think this is a key movement in history,” she emphasized.

“All of Society Should Support You, and It Will”

Human rights advocate Bob Vinnicombe applauded practitioners' courage: “We know the criminal complaints include torture, genocide, illegal organ harvesting, and organ trade.” He said such tragedies occurred because China's justice system is broken and the courts are controlled by the totalitarian regime. “That is why we need to support this and the Australian government needs to support this.”

Human rights advocate Bob Vinnicombe said the Australia government should support practitioners.

Many passersby got more information and signed petitions to support practitioners. Jim and Elizabeth Evans were shocked by the brutality of the persecution, “Live organ harvesting? That is absolutely forbidden!”

After they signed a petition calling for an end to the suppression, Jim encouraged one practitioner, saying, “You are doing the right thing. Please tell more people about this—all of society should support you, and it will.”
