(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guimin Taken to Liaoning Women's Prison

Ms. Zhang Guimin was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison from the Yaojia Detention Center on June 9, 2015.

2. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chang Lijun was arrested by officers from the Taishan District Police Department, the 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and the Caiyuan Police Station when she was telling people about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) on June 10, 2015. She was handcuffed onto an armchair. She managed to remove the handcuffs and escaped that afternoon.

Seven other practitioners were subsequently arrested. They are Mr. Yang Pinggang (Ms. Chang's husband), Ms. Zhang Lixia, Mr. Liu Yanjun, Mr. Hou Qingyuan, Ms. Liu Faling, Ms. Sun Xiuwei and Ms. Yang Xiaopeng (Mr. Yang Pinggang's younger sister).

Officers from the Xiangshuisi Town Police Station arrested Ms. Jiang on June 12, 2015.

Mr. Qi Yufu was arrested by officers from the Wulong Police Station on June 13, 2015. He is being held in the police station.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Meiyu Arrested

Ms. Wang Meiyu was arrested on May 28, 2015.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Ping Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

The Luyuan District Court sentenced Ms. Zhang Ping to four years in prison on June 11, 2015. She has appealed.

7. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Elderly Practitioner Ms. Ji Xiuying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ji Xiuying, 73, was arrested by officers from the Zhonghualu Police Station when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the morning of June 11, 2015. She is being held in the Guoyingzi Brainwashing Center.

8. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xiazhen Detained

Ms. Li Xiazhen, who lives in the Qianfeng District, was arrested by officers from the Qianfeng Police Station when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs on June 9, 2015. She is being held in the Huaying City Detention Center.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Bifang Arrested

Four domestic security officers broke into Ms. Yu Bifang's rental home and arrested her on June 11, 2015. Ms. Yu was taken to the Jiangbei Domestic Security Division. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Li Tortured in Prison

Ms. Xu Li was sentenced to four years in prison by the Ganjingzi District Court. She was taken to a brainwashing center in the Liaoning Women's Prison on June 17, 2014. While in prison, Ms. Xu suffered from verbal abuse. She was force to sleep in a wooden bed without bedding. The guards tied her up, beat her, and shocked her with electric batons.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Sufang and Ms. Yang Shuwen Taken to Prison

Ms. Wang Sufang and Ms. Yang Shuwen from the Jinzhou District were taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on June 9, 2015. Ms. Wang was sentenced to three years and six months in prison, and Ms. Yang to four years and six months.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoing Province] Mr. Cheng Fuhua Detained

Mr. Cheng Fuhua was arrested for telling people about Falun Gong on June 1, 2015. He was placed under criminal detention at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chengmei Detained

Ms. Wang Chengmei was arrested by officers from the Zhonghan Police Station in the Laoshan District when she was telling people about Falun Gong on June 11, 2015. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City.

14. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guo Yumei Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Guo Yumei from the Longfeng District was arrested by officers from the Daqing City 610 Office recently. She is being held in the Daqing Brainwashing Center.

15. [Beijing] Ms. Ji Jinchun Arrested

Ms. Ji Jinchun from the Chaoyang District was arrested in early June 2015.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Chang and Ms. Wu Shuxiang Detained

Ms. Sun Chang and Ms. Wu Shuxiang from the Fangshan District were arrested while telling people about Falun Gong on the evening of June 12, 2015. Both practitioners are being held in the Tiangezhuang Detention Center in the Fangshan District.
