Additional Persecution News from China – June 4, 2015 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuning County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhong Jinxiu and Others Arrested
2. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xiao Jing in Critical Physical Condition

1. [Wuning County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhong Jinxiu and Others Arrested

Practitioners including Ms. Zhong Jinxiu were arrested by officers from the Wuning County Police Department and captain of the Domestic Security Division on the morning of March 21, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. The police confiscated computers, printers, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and other personal items.

2. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xiao Jing in Critical Condition

Ms. Xiao Jing, from Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province, worked as a merchant in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province. She was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Yiwu City Police Department on March 15, 2013, for writing “Falun Dafa,” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” and “Quit the Chinese Communist Party for One's Own Safety” on a wall.

Ms. Xiao was later sentenced to four years at Zhejiang Province Women’s Prison. She became emaciated and has difficulty eating and walking. As a result, she is often subjected to force-feeding.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Li Wencai Detained

Mr. Li Wencai was arrested by officers Wu Yunlong and Kong Lingsi from the Shilou Town Police Station in Fangshan District on May 29, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is detained at the Tiangezhuang Detention Center.

4. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Wenjing Detained

Ms. Zhao Wenjing was arrested by officers from the Xinglong Police Station on May 30, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. She was taken to the Taonan City Detention Center on June 2, 2015.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Zou Arrested

Ms. Zou was arrested on May 30, 2015.

6. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Weijun and Mr. He Guoao Detained

Mr. Li Weijun and Mr. He Guoao were arrested by officers from Tongcheng County on the evening of May 31, 2015, for putting up posters and signs about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained at the Tongcheng County Detention Center.

7. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Sentenced

Six practitioners were sentenced by the Dongpo District Court on April 17, 2015: Mr. Zhou Guoping to a five-year prison term; Mr. Wan Wu, Mr. Zhu Qunhua, Ms. Huang Xiaoli, and Mr. Xie Kaijun each to a three-year prison term; and Mr. Zhang Xuejun on probation. They have filed appeals.

8. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Wei Yuexiu Arrested

Ms. Wei Yuexiu was arrested by a plainclothes officer on the morning of June 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released the same day.
