Additional Persecution News from China – June 2, 2015 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Rongfang and another practitioner were arrested by officers from the Zaojue Town Police Station on May 14, 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, paper currencies with messages about Falun Gong written on them, informational materials, and other personal items. Ms. Chen is detained at the police station.

2. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang] Mr. Wang Aimin Sentenced

Mr. Wang Aimin, was arrested by officers, including secretary Wei Zhaomin from the Shihezi City 150 Tuan Police Station, and was sentenced to a seven-year prison term in 2015.

3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shouhui, Ms. Xu Ping, Ms. Jin Fengzhi, and Ms. Qin Yongmei were arrested by officers from the Fushun Domestic Security Division on May 24, 2015.

4. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Wenjing Arrested

Ms. Zhao Wenjing was arrested by officers from the Taonan City Xinglong Police Station on May 30, 2015 for distributing Shen Yun DVDs.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fu Yuxian Arrested

Ms. Fu Yuxian, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Luonanjie Police Station on May 15, 2015 for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released the next day.

6. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fan Yuqin Sentenced

Ms. Fan Yuqin was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Zhenxing District Court. She was transferred from the Dandong Detention Center to the Liaoning Women's Prison on May 15, 2015.

7. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Junyi Detained

Mr. Huang Junyi was arrested by captain Pan Hongkai from the Beipiao City Domestic Security Division on May 29, 2015 for trying to rescue arrested practitioners. He was taken to the Beipiao City Police Department's Detention Center on May 31, 2015.

8. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yang Kuoshu, Mr. Yang Junqi, Mr. Zhu Jifa, Mr. Ren Wenxue, Mr. Han Fu, and Mr. Yang Junfeng were arrested on May 25, 2015. All practitioners, except Mr. Yang Junfeng, have been detained in the Shulan City Detention Center. Mr. Han was sentenced to a three year and six month prison term.
