(Minghui.org) Ms. Chen Weifen had just taken a seat at her friend Ms. Tang Wenlan's home on April 20 when they heard a knock on the door. More than a dozen police officers rushed in and ordered them not to move.

Three more guests arrived shortly after the commotion, only to be restrained by the waiting officers. Ms. Yin Qianling, Ms. Liu, and her daughter had planned to join Ms. Chen and Ms. Tang that afternoon to read books of Falun Gong, a spiritual practice being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.

The police proceeded to ransack Ms. Tang's home before moving on to raid the other women's homes.

Ms. Chen, who is in her seventies, and Ms. Liu's daughter (who does not practice Falun Gong) were released on the day of the arrest after police interrogation. Ms. Liu spent 15 days in detention before her release.

Ms. Liu and Ms. Yin Qianling remain at Anshun City No. 2 Detention Center, while Ms. Tang is held at Anshun City No. 1 Detention Center.
