(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were detained, 13 were tried or face trial, at least 28 were illegally arrested and whereabouts of 4 is unknown.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Fengchun Arrested

Ms. Zhang Fengchun was arrested by officers from the Beiyuan Police Station on April 23, 2015.

2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Ruizhen Arrested

Ms. Zhao Ruizhen, an employee from the Shengli Oilfield was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked by Binbei Domestic Security Division officers. Ms. Zhao is held in the Weifang Detention Center.

3. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Gao Jiaxi Arrested

Mr. Gao Jiaxi was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on April 24, 2015. He was arrested by officers from the Xierlu Police Station, who ransacked his home.

4. [Zhouzhi County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Detained and Mr. Zhao's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xu Xiu'e and Mr. Zhao Yingjun were arrested on April 21, 2015 and their home was ransacked. Police officers confiscated printers and computers. Ms. Xu is held in a court and Mr. Zhao's whereabouts is unknown.

5. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Aizhen Arrested

Ms. Liu Aizhen, about 62 years old, was arrested several days ago.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Lurui Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Lurui's whereabouts unknown since April 21, 2015.

7. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Eight Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Huanxiu and seven practitioners were arrested on April 24, 2015, for hanging banners with information about Falun Gong.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jianrong in Police Custody

Mr. Liu Jianrong was arrested on April 25, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is detained in the Caofeidian District Police Department.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Guozhen was arrested by officers from the Songyuan City Police Department on April 23, 2015. Her Falun Gong books and other Falun Gong materials were confiscated.

10. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lei Xiaoyu, Ms. Ma Xiuhua and Ms. Zhao Chunrui were arrested on April 25, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Lei was released in the afternoon because of her old age. Ms. Ma and Ms. Zhao are held for 15 days.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Xiuyun and Husband's Whereabouts Unknown

Several police officers broke into Ms. Ma Xiuyun's home on April 24, 2015. Ms. Ma and her husband's whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Hongwei Arrested

Mr. Wang Hongwei was arrested at home on April 24, 2015.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Shuying Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuying, in her 40s, was arrested on April 23, 2015, and taken to Baizhifang Police Station in Xicheng District.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Gao Weiling Arrested

Ms. Gao Weiling was arrested on April 22, 2015.

15. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Xiurong Detained

Ms. Chen Xiurong, in her 60s, was arrested on April 24, 2015, and her home was ransacked. She is held at the Xiangyang City Detention Center.

16. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yue Yuling Detained

Ms. Yue Yuling from the Yangjiazhangzi Development Zone was arrested on April 24, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Huludao City Detention Center.

17. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Weifen Arrested

Ren Li, the head of the Laiwu Steel 610 Office arrested Ms. Wang Weifen at the end of 2014 and confiscated her computers, Falun Gong books, Falun Gong materials and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang was taken to the Laiwu Detention Center, but not admitted because of high blood pressure. Ms. Wang has applied for medical parole.

18. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wu Jingjun Facing Trial

Ms. Wu Jingjun and her husband were arrested at home by offices from the Qingshanhu Criminal Investigation Brigade on October 1, 2014. Ms. Wu was brutally force-fed at Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center. She was released on medical parole and has not recovered. Her legs are swollen and she has difficulties to walk. It was recently learned that the police wants to prosecute her.

19. [Chongqing] Six Falun Gong Practitioners Face Trial

Youyang County Court was said to have held a second trial against six Falun Gong practitioners on April 28, 2015. They are Ms. Wang Aihua, Ms. Tian Qimei, Ms. Zhang Xianbi, Ms. Du Yangxi, Ms. Qin Aiming and Ms. Qin Huaxian.

20. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhao Yuehua Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yuehua was arrested on March 2, 2015. Her arrest was approved on April 3, 2015. She is held at the Hexi Detention Center.

21. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Six Falun Gong Practitioners Tried

Zhuozhou City Court illegally sentenced six practitioners on February 11, 2015. Mr. Dong Hanjie and Ms. Gao Chunlian were sentenced to five years in prison. Ms. Wang Yun was sentenced to three years in prison, although her sentence was commuted for five years. She returned home. Mr. Ge Zhijun was not accepted by the prison due to poor health.

Mr. Dong Hanjie and Mr. Zhang Haiyang are still held in the Zhuozhou City Detention Center. Ms. Gao Chunlian and Ms. Dong Junhong are held in the Qingyuan County Detention Center.

22. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhong Tingju Harassed

Officers from the Fengle Police Station harassed Ms. Zhong Tingju at home on January 23, 2015.

Eight officers ransacked Ms. Zhong's home on February 3 and confiscated her cell phone, Falun Gong books and other materials. Ms. Zhong and her 3-year-old child were taken to police station, interrogated and released after 11 p.m.

Several days later, officers took her to the building where she distributed Falun Gong informational material, and took photos of her.

23. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Five Falun Gong practitioners were arrested on February 24, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

Ms. Jiang Lanying, Ms. Xiong Quanmei, Ms. Mei Yufeng, and Ms. Chen Xiaojuan are held in Yichun City Detention Center. Ms. Xiong's home was ransacked on April 21 and her Falun Gong books and other personal items were confiscated.

24. [Ningxiang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Hu Wenkui Detained

Mr. Hu Wenkui, 32, and another practitioner were arrested on April 12, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational material. Mr. Hu is held at the Taojiang County Detention Center.

25. [Tianjin] Mr. Hua Lianyou Released on Medical Parole

After 617 days of hunger strike, Mr. Hua Lianyou was carried back home on a gurney on January 28, 2014. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison in April 2012 for practicing Falun Gong and went on a hunger strike as a non-violent protest against his unlawful detention. Binhai Prison released him after he became critically ill.

26. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Ying Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Xu Ying, 46, an elementary teacher in Hailin City, was recently tried and given a three-year prison term by the Hailing City Court on April 14, 2015. Ms. Xu is in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center. Her family plans to appeal her sentence to the Mudanjiang City Intermediate Court.
