(Minghui.org) It was 14 years ago that I almost lost my daughter. My heart still trembles when I think about it. The experience is still so clear, as if it just happened yesterday.

My daughter was only 14 at the time. She was a pretty girl, quiet and well behaved. She was coming home from school. It was winter, so it gets dark early. In an alley a man in a mask grabbed her. He covered her mouth as she screamed, “Help! Mom, help me!”

She continued to scream for help as he knocked her down. He was reaching for her clothes when he heard someone nearby. Scared, he ran away. My daughter never saw anyone else

She ran home as fast as she could. I was not there. She was distraught and still terribly frightened. Almost out of her mind, she attempted to calm herself by taking whatever medications she could find in the house.

Still distressed, she took out photos to look at. When I got home I found her lying in bed, crying and surrounded by photos. She did her best to tell me what had happened but she was still very upset.

She said, “Mom, you can't tell anyone what happened to me. It would be too embarrassing. I am afraid of what people would think and I wouldn't be able to go back to school.”

I took her to the hospital. The doctor said the drugs were already being absorbed into her system. He wanted her to go home and vomit, but it was too late--she could not. She was becoming unresponsive.

I was scared. I knelt down in front of our photo of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, and said, “Master, please save my daughter! She is a good person and my only child. Please save her.” I repeated this every day.

My daughter slipped into a coma for several days. Her urine was dark, which I only now realize was Master expelling the toxins from her system.

Five days later, she woke up briefly and said, “Mom, I cannot open my eyes, but I can see a double image of everything in this room – the door, the chair, you. I also see what look like small human beings everywhere.” I wondered what was happening, what she was seeing, and would she be okay. Then she said, “Mom, you must practice Falun Gong diligently.” Then she slipped back into a coma.

I gently and lovingly brushed her hair and rubbed her feet, but she was unresponsive. Her face was frighteningly pale. Seven long days and nights later, she miraculously came back to life and asked for porridge and water! Just a month later, she no longer needed to sleep such long hours and was not nearly as dizzy. Slowly she regained her energy and strength, and before long had recovered completely with no side effects.

Since then my daughter always carries a Falun Dafa amulet wherever she goes. Once in college she misplaced it and was terribly upset; her cousin quickly replaced it.

My daughter is now 28. She graduated from college where she was quite the campus belle. She has been admitted to the civil service after passing the required exam. Now I think of the words she spoke to me, “Mom, you must practice Falun Gong diligently,” implying that only by my practicing Falun Gong well was she allowed to come back to life. I thank Master Li for giving my daughter a second chance!
