Additional Persecution News from China – April 20, 2015 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Huizhen Dies Within Weeks of Release

Officers from the Xingang Police Station, led by Li Zhenmin, an officer from the Tanggu District Domestic Security Division, broke into Ms. Wang Huizhen's home and ransacked it on March 2, 2015. They took a computer, several cell phones, and Falun Gong books and DVDs. Ms. Wang was detained in the Tanggu Drug Rehabilitation Center, where she became seriously ill. The police called her family to take her home. She passed away shortly afterward, on March 21.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xiaofeng Arrested

Mr. Wang Xiaofeng was arrested and taken to a detention center on April 16, 2015.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Xiuying and Ms. Wang Rulan Arrested

Ms. Sun Xiuying and Ms. Wang Rulan from Dongyantou Village, Mulin Town, the Shunyi District, went to a neighboring village to talk to people about Falun Gong on April 15, 2015. Police officers followed them home and arrested them. The police ransacked their homes and took Falun Dafa books and informational materials. Ms. Sun's and Ms. Wang's whereabouts are now unknown.

4. [Harbin City, Helongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Yuan Held in Small Cell

Mr. Zhao Yuan from the Acheng District is in Daqing Prison. He was put into a small cell by prison division head Huo Weidong on April 16, 2015, for refusing to answer roll call at the start of the work day and refusing to paint the word “convict” on his clothes.

5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Xiaogang Detained

Mr. Zhao Xiaogang was arrested by Lianmenglu Police Station officers for telling people about Falun Gong in Shuishang Park on the afternoon of April 13, 2015. The police ransacked his home and took his car. The following day, Mr. Zhao was taken to the Shijiazhuang City Detention Center for 14 days of detention.

6. [Lianzhou City, Guangdong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Deng Zhiqing from Qingyuan City was arrested at his home by members of the city's 610 Office and Domestic Security Division officers who were staked out there on the evening of January 15, 2015. He is being held in the Lianzhou City Detention Center.

At the same time, Ms. Xiao Xiaolan, Ms. Huang Wanying, Ms. Li Yuejie, and Ms. Tang Rongzhu were arrested by officers sent from the city's 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and Police Department, who broke into their homes. The four practitioners are being held in the Sanshui Brainwashing Center, Foshan City, Guangdong Province.

7. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Xiaozhen Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiaozhen was arrested by officers from the Dongjiao Police Station in the Meijiang District while distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the morning of March 28, 2015. The police ransacked her home and took a computer, a printer, a photo of the founder of Falun Dafa, and Falun Dafa books.

Ms. Huang was released the following day because she had symptoms of severe liver problems

8. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lin Zhiyan Arrested

Approximately 12 police officers broke into Ms. Lin Zhiyan's home and arrested her on April 18, 2015.

9. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Shuguang and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Ma Shuguang and his wife were arrested by officers from the Cicun Police Station while distributing Shen Yun DVDs on the morning of April 16, 2015. The police took 3,000 yuan in cash and ransacked their home. Mr. Ma's wife was taken to the Zhangdian Detention Center that afternoon but released that evening because she has high blood pressure.

10. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Fang Arrested

Ms. Wang Fang was arrested on the evening of April 18, 2015. The police ransacked her home and took electronic devices and books.

11. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Xue Cuibai Arrested

Ms. Xue Cuibai, in her 60s, from the Tinghu District was arrested at home on the afternoon of April 17, 2015

12. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Xiuzhen, Ms. Liu Guijuan and Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wu Xiuzhen, Ms. Liu Guijuan and other practitioners were arrested by the Shulan 610 Office and police station on April 14, 2015. They are being held in the Xiaying Village Brainwashing Center in Xiaocheng Town.

13. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Zifang and Ms. Fang Zongju Detained

Ms. Yang Zifang and Ms. Fang Zongju from Anlu City were arrested and taken to the Fucheng Police Station on the morning of April 18, 2015, for telling people about Falun Gong and distributing informational materials. They are now being held in the detention center affiliated with the city's supervisory center.

14. [Hulan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Mo Zhikui Cannot Walk After Being Abused in Hulan Prison

On the afternoon of March 30, 2015, Mr. Mo Zhikui's wife went to the Hulan Prison to visit him. He was so weak that he could not even walk.

15. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Fu Jinfeng Detained

Ms. Fu Jinfeng, 51, an official from the Nanchang City Blood Station, was arrested by officers from the Nanchang Economical Technology Development District Domestic Security Division and the Jiaoqiao Police Station on March 24, 2015. She was talking to people about Falun Gong on a bus. The officers ransacked her home and took her to the Nanchang City No 3. Detention Center for 15 days of detention. On April 9, she was transferred to the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center.
