(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 18 were illegally arrested and the whereabouts of 1 is unknown.

1. [Beijing] Mr. You Zhaohe and Ms. Wang Lurui Arrested

Several officers arrested Mr. You Zhaohe and his wife Ms. Wang Lurui on the morning of April 21, 2015, and took them to the Beiwa Road Enjizhuang Police Station. The police ransacked their home and confiscated several computers. The couple was taken to the Haidian District Detention Center.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Hongmei Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Yan Hongmei was tried in the Jinniu District Court in Chengdu City on March 7, 2015. The court announced on March 11 that Ms. Yan had been sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Yan refused to accept the sentencing and filed an appeal on March 14. She is detained in the Chengdu City Detention Center.

3. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Linghua Arrested

Ms. Wang Linghua was arrested on the afternoon of April 27, 2015.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Yajuan Detained

Ms. Xu Yajuan was taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison at 6:00 a.m. on April 14, 2015. She was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center because the prison refused to admit her.

5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zheng Jingxian Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zheng Jingxian was arrested on the evening of February 3, 2015, and taken to the Haizhu District Detention Center. He was acquitted on March 13. Despite his acquittal, Mr. Zheng was secretly transferred to the Tangang Brainwashing Center.

6. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Rulan and Ms. Sun Xiuying from Dongyantou Village, Mulin Town, Shunyi District, were arrested at home on April 16, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa materials.

Ms. Huang Ronghua, also from Dongyantou Village, was arrested when she left her home on the morning of April 18, 2015, by plainclothes officers who were hiding near her home. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated computers and printers.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shao Sanhua, Ms. Wang Suzhen, and Ms. Chen Dangzhe from Gangdu Garden in the Qingshan District were arrested by officers from the Gangdu Garden Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong and the persecution on the morning of April 25, 2015. The police ransacked their homes. The three practitioners are being detained in the No. 1 Detention Center in Wuhan City.

8. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jin Hua Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Before the 2015 Chinese New Year, the Zhenhai District Court in Ningbo City tried Ms. Jin Hua and sentenced her to three and a half years in prison. She is now in the No. 1 Ward of the Zhejiang Province Women's Prison.

9. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Yang Qinghua Held in Psychiatric Hospital

Mr. Yang Qinghua was taken to Kangning Hospital, a psychiatric hospital, on April 15, 2015, by Chai Yaling and other officers from the Zhenhai District Domestic Security Division.

10. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Yan Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Deng Yan was tried in the Chuanshan District Court on the morning of March 27, 2015. Ms. Deng pleaded not guilty. The judge called for an adjournment.

On the morning of April 24, the court again put Ms. Deng on trial without informing her family, and sentenced her to three and a half years in prison.

11. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Lixia's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhao Lixia was arrested on April 26, 2015, by officers from the Lingquan Town Police Station, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Chunjian and Mr. Liao Mengguo Detained

Mr. Wu Chunjian, 64, and Mr. Liao Mengguo, 62, were arrested by officers from the Changfeng Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong materials. They were taken to the Erzhigou Detention Center.

13. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Chen Xianmei Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Chen Xianmei was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Jinming District Court on March 30, 2015. Ms. Chen has appealed to a higher court.

14. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Song Jinmei Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Song Jinmei was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Xiangfu District Court in Kaifeng City in April 2015. Ms. Song has appealed the sentencing.

15. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Yu Released on Bail

Yongchang Police Station officers broke into and ransacked 70-year-old practitioner Mr. Yu's home in the Zhenxing District. The only information available so far is that the police confiscated Falun Dafa books and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, among other items. Mr. Yu was released on bail.

16. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yan Placed on Trial

The Xinglongtai District Intermediate Court put Ms. Li Yan from Liaohe Oilfield on trial on the morning of April 28, 2015. Her lawyer Mr. Feng Jianqiang was expelled from the court room and arrested by police.

17. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fang Hailing and Ms. Yang Qinghua Arrested

Ms. Fang Hailing and Ms. Yang Qinghua told people about Falun Gong and distributed Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of April 28, 2015. Pan Hongkai, head of the Domestic Security Division, along with three other officers, broke into and ransacked their homes at noon. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, record players, Falun Gong informational materials, and a couplet that hung on the door. Both practitioners were taken to the Domestic Security Division.

18. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jiachun and Her Brother Tried

Ms. Zhang Jiachun and her younger brother Mr. Zhang Jia'an were tried on March 26, 2015. Only two family members were allowed to attend the trial. The siblings were arrested at home in mid-November 2014 by officers from the Ganwang Police Station and the Xiliu Police Station.

19. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Liang Arrested

Ms. Liang, in her eighties, was arrested on April 28, 2015.

20. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Lei Detained

Mr. Jia Lei was arrested by Liu Zhidong, director of the police station, and another officer, on the morning of April 26, 2015, for distributing Internet censorship circumvention software. He was held for 15 days in the Ertaizi Detention Center, Shacheng Town. The police confiscated the currency he had with him.

21. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Dai Zhenyun Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Dai Zhenyun was sentenced to four years in prison.
