New Immigrant from China: Quitting the Party Is the Awakening of People's Conscience

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Vancouver, Canada formed a “Great Wall of Truth” outside the Chinese Consulate on April 18, 2015. The event featured informational banners to spread the news, and celebrated the more than 200 million Chinese people who have renounced their memberships in the communist organizations.

The practitioners also called upon more Chinese people to join the trend, break free of the mind control by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and embrace a wonderful future for themselves.

Banners reading, “China's New Era Begins When the Communist Party Ends,” “Spread the Nine Commentaries, Support 200 Million Quitting the CCP,” “The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” along with other messages in both Chinese and English could be seen from a long distance.

Car horns could be heard from time to time from drivers expressing their support, as a steady stream of vehicles passed by the consulate, which is located on bustling Granville Street, which runs through the center of West Vancouver.

New Immigrant's Awakening

Mr. Teng, an immigrant from China who came to Canada a few years ago, saw the Falun Gong practitioners' activity when he went to the Chinese Consulate for some business. He remained at the spot and talked with practitioners until the end of the activity.

He was amazed at the increasing growth in the Falun Gong practitioners' protest group. He said he chose to stay with practitioners outside the Chinese Consulate, because he no longer feared the CCP. He said it was a choice made by following his conscience.

Mr. Teng said that he used to visit websites outside of China to read the truthful and uncensored information about China, using software that circumvented the CCP's Internet blockade. He said he admires and appreciates the efforts of Falun Gong practitioners.

“It's an important thing to quit the Party and its affiliated organizations,” Mr. Teng said, “The Party's evil nature will never change until it disintegrates.”

“Quitting the Party is a peaceful and rational movement,” he continued, “It's the awakening of people's conscience. More than 200 million people have chosen to stand up for justice. It will bring huge change. I hope China will have a free and wonderful future.”
