(Minghui.org) Another practitioner and I saw a dozen people transporting railing made of steel and concrete one day last March. The railings were very heavy and could only be carried by cart. The road was in poor condition, so the work was not easy.

We offered them Falun Gong informational materials during their break.

We found that most of them came from Sichuan Province. We told them why they should quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to avoid being held accountable for the Party's crimes. Some of them understood and agreed to quit.

A man in his fifties refused to accept a DVD. He said, “I don't have a DVD player. My room is so tiny and the roof leaks so I can't watch it.” I then gave him a talisman and he asked what it was for. I explained that the words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance were printed on it, and that it might offer protection to kindhearted people around him. He refused to take it and turned to leave.

As he moved back, he stepped on the foot of another person behind him. The two started an argument immediately.

The other man shouted, “You are a typical, stupid Hubei guy!” The first said, “I lived in Hubei Province and enjoyed living there. But the Three Gorges Dam project forced us to move to this bad place.”

The person in back who was from Sichuan shouted even more loudly: “Sichuan is such a great place. Because of [the dam in] Hubei, we are either dry or flooding. We cannot survive if we stay there. We have to come here to work.”

They were mad at each other. I said, “Please don't complain to each other. All those misfortunes were created by the CCP. You and your families are among its countless victims.” The Sichuan guy whispered to me, “Don't say that. Other people will say you are against the CCP.”

I smiled and said: “God bestowed upon us the Yangtze river and many people could live beside it. Now the river is dammed. Right? We all know that oranges grown by the river at Chongqing and Yichang were always very cheap, but now they are much more expensive. Transportation costs have increased and there are fewer places to grow oranges. We have lost many resources. Our ecological environment is deteriorating. Our next generation will be in danger...”

The Sichuan guy said: “The Three Gorges Dam creates much electricity and plays an important role...” I asked him: “How much do we pay for electricity now? Is the ownership of the electric network ours or the Party's? Our ancestors tamed rivers like the Dayu Taming or Sichuan's Dujiangyan. None of them were dammed.”

Those workers agreed with me. They had to go back to work, so we planed to leave. All of sudden, someone shouted: “Oh, my goodness!” The railing was rolling toward us. We pushed two workers aside.

We heard a crunching noise. The railing stopped and just before our knees. I and another practitioner said together: “Our Master protected us.”

People around us came over and were very surprised. Their supervisor came and blamed them for not putting the railing in a proper place and not tying the railings properly. There should have been ten railings tied together but some were not tied firmly. Eight of them rolled loose.

The supervisor said: “It was so dangerous. If those two ladies did not push you guys aside, your legs would have been broken. What should you do?” They asked us why we were not scared and if it was true that our Master protected us.

I held up a talisman and asked them to repeat: “Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance is great!” I reminded them to repeat these words sincerely to protect their own safety. They recited the phrases with us together.

As we were leaving, someone asked, “Can I have a talisman, too?” It was the man from Hubei who at first refused all our materials.
