Additional Persecution News from China – March 17, 2015 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 province. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Fengxia Sentenced

In the morning of March 13, 2015, Emeishan City Court sentenced Ms. Liu Fengxia and Mr. Guan Xuelin to four years in prison, and Mr. Dai Min to three and a half years in prison.

2. [Arongqi, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhao Yuhua To Be Sentenced

Arongqi Court plans to give Ms. Zhao Yuhua a prison sentence of three to four years.

3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Lianping Arrested

Ms. Han Lianping was arrested by officers from Shengquan Police Station on the morning of March 16, 2015, when she spoke to others about the persecution of Falun Gong.

4. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Meili Arrested

Ms. Yu Meili was arrested for distributing information about Falun Gong on the morning of March 16, 2015. Officers from the Zuoshan Town Police Station ransacked her home.

5. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhou Xiangyang and Ms. Li Shanshan Detained

Mr. Zhou Xiangyang and his wife Ms. Li Shanshan, are being held in Dongli District Detention Center. Mr. Zhou is on a hunger strike to resist the persecution.

6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Wenhong and Ms. Wu Ruomei in Prison

Ms. Li Wenhong and Ms. Wu Ruomei were arrested on July 1, 2014. They were sentenced to four years, and to three and a half years in prison, respectively. They were taken to Jiangxi Province Women's Prison on February 16, 2015

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yuan Fengjie Detained

Director Gao Yujiang of Dongjiagou Police Station led officers to break into Ms. Yuan Fengjie's home on March 9, 2015. They arrested Ms. Yuan and ransacked her home. Ms. Yuan is being held in Yaojia Detention Center.

8. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yan Seriously Ill in Prison

Ms. Zhang Yan was sentenced to four years in prison in mid-May 2014, and detained in the No. 8 Ward of Jilin Province Women's Prison. When her family members visited her in March 2015, they noticed her stomach was swollen. Their request to have her released on medical parole was denied.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Yinxiang Arrested

Ms. Wang Yinxiang was arrested on the morning of March 14, 2015, when she handed out Falun Gong informational material. She was released due to high blood pressure of 230 mmHg.

10. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Youyi Arrested

Ms. Zheng Youyi from Dalian, Liaoning Province visited her relative in Hebei Province. She was arrested for putting up Falun Gong informational posters, by Huailai County officers on March 14, 2015.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lin Zezhi's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Lin Zezhi was arrested on March 9, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Jixiang and Two Others Arrested

On March 14, 2015, Ms. Liu Jixiang, Ms. Lu Hua'e and Mr. Guo Fengfeng from Shanxi Province distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Pudong, Shanghai. They were arrested, and taken to Pudong New Area Detention Center.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Tan Changrong Arrested

When Ms. Tan Changrong talked to a man about the persecution of Falun Gong on March 17, 2015, he reported her. Ms. Tan was arrested by officers from the Tai'an Town Police Station and taken to Tongnan County Detention Center.

14. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Yonghua Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Yonghua was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. She has appealed to Lianyungang City Intermediate Court.
