Additional Persecution News from China – March 15, 2015 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Jia Jianyong in Critical Condition

Mr. Jia Jianyong, a movie actor from Mayingzhuang, was arrested at home in 2014 for raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong on the Internet. He is being held at the No. 4 Ward of the Jidong No. 1 Prison.

Mr. Jia refused to wear the prison uniform, be "transformed," or do forced labor. In retaliation, he was severely abused by the “strict management” team: for example, prison officers stripped him of his clothes. When he went on a hunger strike, he was brutally force-fed and now has difficulty eating because his throat is swollen.

2. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhou Xiangyang and Ms. Li Shanshan Arrested

Mr. Zhou Xiangyang and Ms. Li Shanshan were arrested on March 2, 2015.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tang Lihua Arrested

Ms. Tang Lihua was arrested by officers from the Qixianling Police Station on March 13, 2015. The police confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and two computers.

4. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Pan Shaozhen Harassed

Ms. Pan Shaozhen, in her 60s, was arrested at home by Director Wu Dongsheng from the Zhensheng Town Police Station and other officers on February 26, 2015. She was later released but was arrested again on March 10, 2015. She was subsequently released, but officers have continued to harass her.

Ms. Sun Suye, in her 60s, was arrested and taken to the Haihe Police Station on March 11, 2015, for talking to people over the phone about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was later taken to the Kaifa District Detention Center for 15 days.

6. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Gongwen Arrested

Mr. Wang Gongwen from Hubei Province was arrested on his way to Beijing in early March 2015.

7. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cheng Guanghui Arrested

Mr. Cheng Guanghui was arrested at home by officers from the Goumenzi Town Police Station and Lingyuan City Domestic Security Division on the morning of March 11, 2015. The police ransacked his home.

8. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Fengyu Arrested

Mr. Gao Fengyu was arrested by local police officers from Binhai New Area on March 2, 2015.

9. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guan Yanxia Arrested

Ms. Guan Yanxia was arrested at her son's home by officers from the Domestic Security Division on March 11, 2015. She was later taken to Yanji City.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Fuling Detained

Ms. Gao Fuling, arrested at the end of February 2015, is being held at the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Wenshuai Severely Persecuted

Ms. Guo Wenshuai, sentenced to a seven-year prison term, has already been in the Jilin Province Women's Prison for four years. She has been admitted to the prison hospital due to abuses she suffered in prison.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fang Yunxiang Imprisoned

Ms. Fang Yunxiang was arrested on April 22, 2014, and later sentenced to three years and six months in prison. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on January 27, 2015.

13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ren Songchun Arrested

Ms. Ren Songchun, nearly 70, was arrested by officers from the Shahe Police Station on March 1, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Li Yuguo, the head of Xihejia Village, reported her.

Officers beat her and sprayed pepper water on her. She was taken to the Laizhou Detention Center but was refused admission. She was later released.

14. [Qidong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Jianfang Arrested

Ms. Shi Jianfang, 62, was arrested and taken to the Weijue Brainwashing Center on March 4, 2015.
