(Minghui.org) I opened Zhuan Falun for the first time in November 1998. When I read the section “Genuinely Guiding People Towards High Levels,” I was deeply touched and realized that this is a sacred book that guides people in their cultivation.
Entire Family Benefits When One Person Cultivates
My eyes hurt whenever they came in contact with cold water, and I was frequently dizzy. But all my ailments disappeared after I practiced Falun Dafa for just one week. My husband and my children witnessed the power of the practice and they supported my cultivation.
My younger daughter and her husband were hit by a car when they were on their motorcycle. The motorcycle’s mirrors were smashed, but they were not injured. My daughter told her husband that Master protected them because I practiced Falun Dafa.
My younger daughter’s 12-year-old son fell from the second floor to the cement below. An exam at the hospital showed that he was not injured.
My younger daughter has supported me, and her family also became more supportive of Dafa. It is true that if one person cultivates, the entire family benefits.
Falling and Getting Back Up Again
I was one year into the practice when the communist regime banned Falun Dafa. The secretary of the township's Political and Legal Affairs Committee forced teachers and students to parade through the streets and shout slogans that slandered Dafa in February 2001.
Some people came to my home and pressured me to write a guarantee statement that day. Because I was not diligent in my Fa-study, I wrote that I would give up Dafa.
This was not a big deal in my mind, because in my heart I knew that I was just fooling them. In a dream that night, Master gave me a hint. My gong elevated very quickly, but when I almost reached the top of my gong column, I fell. I regretted that I wrote the statement after I woke up.
I went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice in May 2001. After I returned home, the secretary of the township's Political and Legal Affairs Committee beat me. He took me to a detention center for 38 days, where I wrote another guarantee statement because of my sentimental attachment to my family and because of my mentality of fear.
After I returned home my heart was pained, and I felt that I was not worthy of Master’s salvation. I was worried that Master would not want me as a disciple and went into a depression.
Master gave me another hint in a dream in 2004: A practitioner who had burned Dafa books was covered with thorns. I realized that Master gave me another chance.
I read the Dafa books and did the exercises again, and I felt energetic and much younger.
Master said,
“I’ve given my utmost concern not just to you, but to all lives. I have almost depleted everything of mine for all lives.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Switzerland”)
Because Master has endured much for all disciples and other lives in the universe, I want to suggest that fellow practitioners no longer ignore those who do not do well in their cultivation. Master wants to save them, too, so we should reach out to help them.
Interference from Family Short-lived
After I read the Fa and did the exercises again, my family began to interfere with me. My husband beat me three times and threatened me with more harm. I saw this as a test of my determination, and the interference stopped after I let go of my fear.
Whenever I picked up Zhuan Falun, I felt that my main consciousness elevated rapidly. I also realized that I had to tell people about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
I went door-by-door in my own village, other villages, and then other townships. When I walked into a home, I was careful to say the right things. “I want to tell you the facts about Falun Dafa,” I would say. “I was very ill for years, and after I practiced Dafa I returned to good health. You should know that practitioners follow the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
No Longer Deceived by the Communist Party
Some people were deceived by the regime’s propaganda about the Tiananmen Square self-immolation. I told them that Jiang Zemin's followers staged the incident to deceive people and to incite hatred toward Falun Dafa. I explained that Falun Dafa teachings say that it is wrong to kill or commit suicide. I asked them to remember “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Many people came to understand that Dafa is good.
My sister-in-law, who did not understand the facts about Dafa, badmouthed me in front of my son-in-law. I knew that it was not her fault, but rather because I had not explained the facts about Dafa well enough to her. I went to her home to talk to her. She indeed listened to me and agreed to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates.
Her daughter and son-in-law also withdrew from the CCP. Since then, we have gotten along well.
I was able to help people understand Dafa because I cultivated diligently and was able to have a generous heart and great compassion.
Walk Out of the Labor Camp with Dignity
I was taken to a detention center in May 2005 and had a dream that first night. In that dream I heard traditional Chinese musical instruments and saw people dressed in white carrying white flags. They walked toward my home and brought incense to a house where someone had died. I took this dream as a hint from Master that I must stay firm and not be “transformed,” which could result in my death.
They transferred me to a forced labor camp, and I went on a hunger strike. On the fourth day, six inmates were told to force feed me. They pried loose about four of my teeth, and I passed out. Two inmates were with me when I woke up. I talked to them about Dafa, and after some time I was taken to the labor camp hospital.
The guards deprived me of sleep and ordered me to write the three statements. They also beat me and injected me with unknown drugs. I asked Master to strengthen my mind.
Guards pulled my hair, tied my hands behind my back, and stuffed my socks into my mouth to gag me. I spit out the socks and shouted, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! I am a Dafa practitioner and I want to follow Master!” The guards told inmates to beat me, but with Master’s help I felt no pain.
The guards ordered inmates to torture me the next morning. However, three of the inmates refused the order and one said, “She is so thin and weak and old. More torture may kill her.” That night I passed the test of life and death. I had discarded the mentality of fear and fully believed in Master and the Fa. I met the requirements of Dafa, and Master did not allow them to further torture me.
I was to be released in about 10 days. I still could not eat, which I saw as a hint to expect more interference before my release. Therefore, I continued my hunger strike.
I was told that they would extend my prison term unless I ate. I responded, “What you say doesn’t count. My master is in charge.” The guards did not say anything.
Two days before I was released, labor camp officials gave me a document to sign. I said that I was not an inmate, that I was illegally detained, and that I would not sign it.
Under Master’s protection, I walked out of the labor camp with dignity.
Let Every Moment Count
After I got out of the labor camp, I went door to door to advise people to withdraw from the CCP. Sometimes more than 30 people withdrew, and on the average more than a dozen people withdrew each day.
When I took a bus one day, it was full of students. I told them to remember “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” and that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident was fabricated to incite people to hate Falun Dafa.
I told them that if they wanted to ensure a good future, they should withdraw from the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. Five students withdrew.
One time when I went to the grocery store, I was hit by a car. When I got up I saw that my clothes were dirty, but I did not feel any pain. The bystanders were amazed. Someone said, “You Falun Dafa people must be protected by your master.”
I explained the truth about Falun Dafa to those who had gathered. “He did not intend to hit me. We must think of other people,” I said. “Also, please don’t believe the CCP’s lies. If you have joined the Party, please withdraw to ensure your safe future.” Six people quit right there.
In fact, all the sentient beings are waiting to be saved. As long as we are determined to save lives, Master will arrange predestined people to find us. Master does everything, and all we need is to explain the truth about Falun Dafa to them.
One person said, “I have been looking for practitioners because I like people who practice Falun Dafa. I have already withdrawn from the Party.” I gave him Dafa informational materials. He read them and then asked the head of the village to quit the CCP, which he did.
I remember one time I helped some older folks who had joined the CCP 50 or more years ago. Once they understood the facts about Dafa, they asked me not to forget their names when I posted those who had quit the Party.
There are so many more people. I will continue to send righteous thoughts, study the Fa diligently, and help more hear the facts about Dafa
