Formerly Sick, Now Full of Energy
I was weak, and often sick, when I was a child. I contracted malaria at the age of 12, and always felt sapped of energy.
At the age of 16, I got a job as a foundry worker in a large factory that manufactured machine parts. It was a big deal because I came from a family of landlords, making us a target for persecution by the communist party at that time. I had no chance of going to college, due to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) campaign of sending urban youth to the countryside.
I was one of the first group of women to do that kind of work in the factory. The work was hard and exhausting. I always rested in my spare time, because I was always so tired. My health problems increased, and I developed gastritis, tachycardia, insomnia, gynecological diseases, low blood sugar, and low blood pressure.
I went to see both Western and Chinese doctors, but I did not experience much improvement in my health. I just suffered, since there seemed to be no cure for my chronic ailments.
I was on so many medications that I could even prescribe them for myself. It sounds like a joke now, but at that time every minute seemed like an hour, and I didn't know when the end would come.
My family heard about Falun Gong in April 1996, and my mother started practicing. She was very excited. She told me that the practice was very good, and that it taught practitioners to value virtue and become better people. She said that Falun Gong's Master was very high-level.
She urged me to practice, but I hesitated, as I was very busy at the time—I had to leave home very early in the morning to take my son a long distance to his middle school, and I got home very late in the evening. I also worked full-time and had to take care of my family.
My mother urged me repeatedly, and I finally decided to make time to learn Falun Gong. I started practicing at home in May 1996. I soon became full of energy, my body became light, my movements became swift, and I became illness free! I have not taken a pill since the day I started practicing Falun Gong. Witnessing the wondrous effects of Falun Gong, my husband and son both supported my practicing. They have continued to support me, even through the persecution.
A Righteous Husband
When I started practicing Falun Gong, many amazing things happened to my family.
My husband always supported me and my mother's practice of Falun Gong. Even when the the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he was not afraid to support us. He sometimes even criticized me for being too afraid to go out to clarify the truth. He said, “What's to be afraid of?”
He also tells people things like, “Falun Gong is good. What you see on TV is all lies. My mother-in-law and wife both practice Falun Gong, and they have become very healthy. I don't have to take care of them, because they take care of me. I know Falun Gong is good!”
But his close friends warned him not to tell everyone that his family members practiced Falun Gong while the persecution was still carrying on. He said to them, “I'm not afraid. I'm telling you the truth. Falun Gong's Master has been protecting me, too. Otherwise I would have already died.”
Although my husband has not started to cultivate, he has read Falun Gong books many times, and helped to validate the practice. He even repeats “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day. He tries not to miss a single issue of Minghui Weekly, and always buys goods using currency with positive messages about Falun Gong printed on them.
Because my husband supports my Falun Gong practice, his diseases, including emphysema, bronchitis, and heart disease, all disappeared without medicine. During a physical exam in 2013, the ultrasound specialist said, “Look, this man's ultrasound image looks exactly like our poster.”
On top of all this, after being an alcoholic for many years, he was able to quit drinking.
Son and Daughter-in-Law Benefit
My son has read Zhuan Falun and Master's lectures. He believes that Falun Gong is good, and often repeats “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
He quickly landed a nice job after college, and his wife became pregnant last year. She had no morning sickness, and the baby was healthy.
Over three weeks before her due date, her water broke. My son called an ambulance. The doctor said they should wait at least four more days in order to avoid a miscarriage. However, it seemed that labor could not be stopped.
After two days in the hospital, the director checked on her and said, “The weather is so hot that it's easy for a mother to get an infection. The baby is fine. There's no need to wait, so the baby should be induced for a normal delivery, or a C-section if something goes wrong.”
The baby had not yet descended, but I believed that everything would go smoothly.
On the third day in the hospital, my daughter-in-law gave birth to a baby boy. Even though it was three weeks early, the mother and baby were both healthy, and they were discharged from the hospital after two days. My grandson is now eight months old.
We understand that, during all these years, Master has been protecting disciples and their family members who have righteous thoughts. Some of the manifestations of Master's care are known to us, but many are not.
I would like to tell people from the bottom of my heart, “Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa! Falun Gong's Master came here to save everyone! Those of you who have been deceived by the evil CCP's atheism and philosophy of struggle, please listen to the wonderful things Falun Gong practitioners have personally experienced. Stop being deceived by the CCP, and remember Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Falun Gong is good! Quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations! Be safe and have a bright future!”
