Ms. Wan Qiaoyun Secretly Sentenced
Ms. Wan Qiaoyun, who works at the Huanan Factory in Changde City, was arrested on September 15, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Changde Detention Center.
Chen Kun, deputy director of the Zoushi Police Station, refused to tell her family where she was being held until notification of her detention had been issued.
Ms. Wan was secretly tried by the Taoyuan County Court in early February 2015, and sentenced to six years in prison. Her family was not notified about the trial.
She developed symptoms of high blood pressure as a result of being mistreated, and is supposed to be transferred to the former Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Changsha City on March 8, 2015.
Ms. Xie Aixin Facing Trial
Ms. Xie Aixin is being held at the Baiheshan Detention Center. She was arrested on July 2, 2014, with her 15-year-old daughter.
Her daughter was released after 15 days, but had to stay away from home to avoid further persecution.
Ms. Xie’s husband was held at the Changde City Men’s Prison, but managed to escape. He had to leave home for twelve years, as officers from the Hanshou Police Department monitored their home for years in hopes of finding him.
Ms. Xie from Hanshou County is facing trial at the Hanshou Court.
