(Minghui.org) Many practitioners have filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin since May, for his persecution of Falun Gong. Some practitioners were later harassed or even had blood samples forcibly taken [editor's note: blood tests suggest that these practitioners could become victims of forced organ harvesting]. Thinking it over, I realized that practitioners in my area may have some omissions or loopholes. I would like to share my thoughts on this.
Fa-study Is the Key
Many Fa study groups have been established in my area, and most coordinators have been doing well. But in some Fa study groups, practitioners just listen to the coordinator speaking the majority of the time, and this situation has continued for a few years. There is nothing wrong with the coordinator sharing his or her thoughts to help us to improve together as one body. But from another perspective, we also need to be clear that only the Fa can guide our cultivation.
When sharing our thoughts with others, we should be aware that our good ideas or suggestions come from the Fa. This will help everyone gain deeper understandings and enlighten from the Fa. Otherwise, we may mislead practitioners, making them think that we are special, or make them become reliant on us. Doing so will harm others as well as ourselves.
Practitioners who tend to follow others should realize that Master has taught us that all the Fa principles are included in Zhuan Falun. Other practitioners have gained further understandings from the book. Why not calm down and study the Fa instead of following others?
What to Read During Group Fa-study
To help practitioners become more diligent, some coordinators decided to study Master’s other lectures (jingwen) instead of Zhuan Falun. As a result, the group may not have had the chance to read Zhuan Falun completely through even once in an entire year.
Master told us that Zhuan Falun is the main teaching, and that other lectures are supplemental. Some practitioners in the countryside cannot read, so they count on group reading to study Zhuan Falun.
Recently at “Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference,” Master told us to read Zhuan Falun during group study. I think we should follow what Master said.
Letting Go of Ego
Practitioners have initiated various projects. After some time the project coordinators may have felt uncomfortable if their reputations suffered a blow. This kind of barrier may lead to internal conflicts and many unnecessary losses.
In “Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Master said,
“So what's their state of mind? It's tolerance, an extremely immense tolerance, being able to accept other beings, and being able to truly think from other beings' perspectives. This is something a lot of you haven't achieved yet in your cultivation, but you're gradually catching on and achieving it. When another God proposes an idea, they aren't eager to reject it, and they aren't eager to express their own ideas and they don't believe that their own ideas are good. Instead, they look at what the end result of the other God's proposed approach will be. The paths are different--everyone's path is different--and the truths that beings validate and enlighten to in the Fa are different, too, but the results might very well be the same. That's why they look at the results, and if the result of a God's idea can achieve the goal, if it can truly achieve it, then all of them will go along with it. That's how Gods think. Also, if there's something lacking in it they'll unconditionally and quietly supplement it to make things more complete and perfect. That's how they handle things.”
If we have a misunderstanding with another practitioner we should discuss it sincerely, and with compassion, instead of complaining behind the other practitioner's back. We are all following the same Fa, and we all have the same goal, so shouldn't we trust each other and avoid instigating trouble?
Remain Clear-minded
Some practitioners filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former Communist Party head, because they understood the importance, while some practitioners simply followed along, considering it a task. Because their hearts were not pure enough, officials may have visited these practitioners later and asked about the criminal complaints. Out of fear, some practitioners denied that they filed a complaint.
In normal society, if someone helped a person, or cured his or her illness, that person would be very grateful. Throughout our cultivation, Master has improved our health and our minds, given us wisdom, and led us on the path towards a great future. Shouldn't we be truthful and do our best to validate the Fa?
Sometimes we know it is important to clarify the facts to the officers who visit us. But when the officers give us documents to sign, we may not know what to do. Some practitioners think we can sign the documents, while some think we should not.
Master said,
“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful”)
We need to keep this in mind, and not casually sign any documents. The persecution still continues, and Master is still being defamed. The officers who visit us do not have the authority to stop the suppression. No matter what they promise we should stand with the practitioners who are still being persecuted, because we are all particles of Dafa.
The Role of Materials Production Sites
Many areas in Guizhou Province are underdeveloped, with poor levels of literacy. Some practitioners have no access to to the Minghui website. Other practitioners need to pass on more information from Minghui, rather than simply printing out Minghui Weekly.
This includes sharing articles about lawsuits against Jiang, and sharing articles about lust, illness karma, and so on. Here is one example. Because police often arrest practitioners around sensitive days such as April 25, July 20, and national holidays, one practitioner used to stay away from home during these “sensitive” dates, to avoid harassment. Other practitioners gave him some articles from Minghui that discussed this topic, and he no longer leaves home on these dates.
Another reminder is that if conditions permit I hope more practitioners will visit the Minghui website on a regular basis. This can help us learn about the persecution in different areas, and how other practitioners clarify the facts to people about Falun Dafa. We will be able to do better afterwards.
Cultivation of Speech
Most of us already know the importance of safety, and do not disclose information about materials production sites to others. Another aspect of cultivating speech is not casually passing on rumors or gossip. This would negatively affect the cultivation of other practitioners and ourselves.
Whatever we do we should help build and safeguard a better cultivation environment. I hope we can do better with this.
