We Should Not Get Distracted by Old Forces' Arrangements

(Minghui.org) Every day the media is filled with stories of violence, political struggles and human tragedies, all of which can understandably stir up strong emotions in all of us. As the world around us continues to be embroiled in turmoil, I have found it helpful to bear Master's teachings in mind to keep things in perspective.

Master said very clearly in the latest lecture in Los Angeles that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were the result of the old forces wanting to distract the world from the events of the Fa-rectification.

“Disciple: How is it that the old forces are still able to keep the world’s attention away from what’s happening in China?”

"Master: That’s how the old forces have arranged it. China is the stage around which everything in this world revolves. If you think about it—and I’ll give you a few simple examples—whenever something is happening in China, when a positive development is taking place, and other nations are about to put some pressure on China, problems come up somewhere else in the world, like with terrorists, religious extremists, or the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. But just think about it: nothing happens by chance. When the persecution of Dafa disciples was at its most severe point, the attention of the entire world would have been fixed on China if it weren’t for the other things that were happening. And that was when the Twin Towers in the U.S. were toppled. The terrorists were just out of control, and drew the world’s attention away. Nothing happens by chance.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)

The old forces have no qualms about killing great numbers of people just to make noise. So what positive developments might they be trying to take attention away from at the present moment?

As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, how should we look at these incidents? I think the compassionate thing to do is to send righteous thoughts to clear away the evil so that it can't prevent people from considering the true reason they are alive now: to learn the truth about Dafa and make their choice to enter the future.

What we are here for is nothing less than ensuring the continuance of the cosmos. Dafa is the reason why the Three Realms was created. Everything came for this Fa. We didn't come here to fight all injustice in the world, and and the persecution is not just another social issue among many.
